DMR/SAR 'Survivor' Contests?

Anyone interested in managing Del Mar and Saratoga 'Survivor' Contests..?

Fairly simple I think.. Might 'manage' itself.. Happy to put up Prize Packs which could prove to be VERY nice.. ;)

Those interested in participating should weigh in as well! The usual Survivor type operation.. One selection a day that must hit the board to allow you to go on...

Steve,

I'll manage these if you need someone.

pmacdaddy 07-16-2007 06:40 PM

pointman/Trifecta - Care for a friendly side wager?...

pointman - Assume it will be daily, but just need one selection, I beleive. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Forget it!.....We already have our Saratoga Handicapping pool ready to go. I am not going to let yourself or your brother take even more of my $$. This is going to be the summer of John.

Maybe even a little shuffleboard tournament at the Parting Glass on opening weekend.

Revenge will be sweet.

DerbyCat 07-16-2007 07:34 PM

I'm in... if you need a back-up to help run the contest, I'll help... other than working on my thesis, my summer is slow :p

hexy27 07-16-2007 07:37 PM

I am getting a little tired of little mac taking the pool. And yes, pmac, I do try not to schedule trials during the Saratoga meet. Unfortunately, Judges are not always understanding.

herkhorse 07-16-2007 10:08 PM

I'm in for the spa. I'll probably have to post in the AM on days that I work. Can we put in an alternate in case of a scratch?

Kasept 07-16-2007 10:11 PM

Sounds like this will work...

Basic rules..

1. You can play in the DMR, SAR or BOTH...

2. Pick a horse DAILY that you believe will hit the board...

3. Players whose horse hit the board survive to the next day: those who don't are out...

4. Last player standing wins...

5. If players are tied going into final day of meet, player whose horse is higher price wins... If players chose same horse, total number of winners selected during the meet is tie-breaker... If still tied, place horses selected...

DEL MAR STARTS WEDNESDAY... Simply post selection in designated contest thread... Good luck!!

Zeke is Captain.. Derby Cat is First Mate..

ADDED NOTE...

A. Selections should, BUT ARE NOT REQUIRED TO, include 1 alternate horse in case of late scratches.. However, if your horse gets scratched late with NO alternate, you're out...

B. Selections time stamped by first post at respective tracks.. No exceptions.

pointman 07-17-2007 12:22 PM

Who am I kidding, I probably won't last more than three days anyway! I'll give it a shot and worry about not having time to handicap later.

ARyan 07-17-2007 01:38 PM

I'll play Saratoga...

hexy27 is my new favorite DT'er.

Since you're in the beer biz and will be at Toga opening week, I may have some space in my cooler for some Coors finest.....:D

Oh, and I'm in for both tracks. Never been very good at these, so I am sure I won't last long.

Zaf 07-17-2007 02:48 PM

Maybe hexy27 can have some DT swag made up. Coolers with DT logo would be a huge hit
