dellinger63 07-09-2007 09:33 AM

How Much?

I think this is one of those, "if you have to ask how much? you shouldn't buy a round" but hypothetically multiply 30 or so times $5.25 and it's gonna be a lot of friggin money. Nothing cheap at Arlington I will tell you that.

brianwspencer 07-09-2007 10:16 AM

I used a vacation day so that I could be there to lend my lungs and some support. I should be showing up around 12:30 that day, if anyone will be there early, PM me and I'll get ya my cell phone number if everyone isn't meeting up as a group until a bit later.

steve 07-09-2007 11:11 AM

Look for the guy in a sportcoat and tie WITHOUT a name tag. That will be Steve Byk.

Honestly since the weather is expected to be nice I presume we'll be outside, usually near the finish line and on occasion in the paddock. The crowd will be very small so it won't be hard to find the DT group wherever we may meet.

I'll be there before first post - first floor near finish? Outside? Heck, I'll find you guys ...

Looking forward to seeing many of you again, and meeting some of you crazies for the first time :p

It's gonna be incredible. What a crowd!

Arlington has replays of the race up minutes after the race is finished on its website and its free to watch them.

Scav 07-09-2007 10:58 PM

I think it would be intelligent to set a place, maybe after the first race. Dell's in charge, he is Mr. Social

According to the Web site gates open at 11:15. I hope to make the first race but would like to check into my hotel and ditch the rental car first. Then I will have no worries (responsibilities) the remainder of the day.

That is correct, gates open at 11:15 but if you're inclined and have the morning free you can stand along the rail (at the top of the turn where an ambulance will be staged) and watch w/o's. Also downtown Arlington Heights has numerous good choices for breakfast.

The gates are open for works I think. About 4 years ago, Million Day I was in line at like 8:30am(when I wasn't a baller and I needed to sprint for a table) and the gate was open so I just walked in and wandered around for a while, and watched the works, and then sat down when they were over, no one bothered me.......

I could have just gotten lucky that some moron left the gates open but whatever. Dell, is that were fans watch the works from?
