Bush on Democratic Congress Failures
Seems the chimp-in-chief is looking to cast blame...call attention to others' failures.
http://www.abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=3355130 So, let's have at it...let's not dwell on any of the "decider's" failures. Let's talk about his SUCCESSES. I'll start it off. Success #1- umm, ugh... nice tie+ good hair Success #2- umm, ugh.... Help me out 28 percenters. |
Follow up. Looks like the Repubs are bailing too.
http://abcnews.go.com/print?id=3356252 "Let's wait until September." And click your ruby slippers three times, spin around, and say "home, home, home". Well, we at least get to see the running of the bulls in Pamploma...while the running of the bullsh-t (bushit) continues in DC. Even the Repubs see the upcoming elections. Wonder how many dead will be created (or demised) between now and then, just for the votes. |
oh i predicted the bail out years ago. it wasn't hard to predict this whole thing would turn out a mess in iraq. and i'm a guy with a 2 year college degree with military experience. if i could see it how come all these ivy league educated morons were telling us it would be a cakewalk. 1. most of them avoided the military during there "chance" to join. 2. they never even thought about the "aftermath" of bringing down the iraqi government. 3. they put a bunch of exiles (most of them hid in iran for years) in charge. geez , i wonder why iran has so much influence now and is messing with the situation ? 4. they could make alot of profit. the saying men think with their little head. these people think with their big pockets, damn the consequences. the republicans loyalty is the sinking of their political ship, they should been on this guys ass years ago. i'm an independant but i vote mostly for them, i knew george bush would be a disaster 7 years ago. how can anyone not see that the man is not the brightest bulb in the box? its been so painfully obvious. chuck hagel is the only one in that party with guts to stand up, now of course the dominos are falling one by one. its too late , this debacle will hurt more than the Nixon fiasco and then some. can anyone say 3rd party? it would be about time !!!!!!

I'm a bit surprised that nobody jumped at ya, though I'm really not surprised that nobody ahs come up with an example of ONE, just one, example of Bush's success. It might take a while. I'm still trying to come up with one besides the nice ties and good hair. |
yeah no one jumped on me because what i wrote was pretty accurate. the reason i'm an independant is because these parties think mostly in step , which to me is pretty dumb. loyalty to a freakin political party DOES NOT trump whats best for all of us. anyone that thinks the constitution was written by men that envisioned a 2 party system should retake american history. the underwriters of our original government would be pissing in their graves if they saw the current system and state of affairs. we might as well still be under the monarchy in england ! Ron Paul is the only republican that has it right and they don't give him a chance in hell. some paint him as a looney. their is a very strong need for a libritarian/independant party that actually has a shot in hell.. we need independant clear thinkers NOT tow the line follow the party idiots which we have now. its the united states government they are running not the WWE . people that remain loyal to these stupid dems and republicans are a major problem, this is not a food fight, its our future and well being at stake. basically we are all to blame because we sit here and go along with it , instead people should demand change and vote accordingly. i watch c-span in the morning and listen to some of the callers. there are more morons out there that one can imagine and they buy into the crap that the government and talk radio tells them. by the time people wake up we will be just another 3rd rate country if things continue this way. in response to you how can the president be successful when hes not that smart and not that shrewd (street smart) this guy does not have a clue. it does not matter what party you are from you need common sense and a brain, he has niether.
|
I've got one...wait, no...um...yes, he did allow the government issued markers to be placed on the graves of all servicemen regardless if their grave had a memorial or not after 9/11...used to be if you had a memorial...you weren't allowed to get a government issued marker(bronze plaque, etc.) for free...only unmarked graves...a small deed...but it's one!!!:)
|
the govt is failing us. bush has bad ideas, but no one else seems to have a proposal to counter it. who will step up? who will solve our problems? hell, congress' approval rating is as low as bush! why? same old, same old. both point fingers at the other, rather than showing us a way to fix things. don't bitch about what's wrong, fix it!!

I think you said it quite clearly, and I agree. I'm not sure who will step up and it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't one from either of the two major parties. The more people I talk with, the more I hear that they're disgusted...FED UP! |
Danzig,
I got thinking about this, and I haven't totally given up hope. If you look at the following legislation, and the one that introduced it, there might be some sanity. The people certainly deserve it. HR 1234 HR 676 HR 808 And the best...drum roll..... HR 333 |

BUT, it's election season. what will get done, other than campaigning?? |

Many shrubs have branches, take lilacs for example. They come up from a few main stems (unlike trees that only have one main one, and usually grow taller), then they branch out to their leaf structures where the photosynthesis happens, just like all green plants. Botony 101. |
i think i'm starting to remember why i never chatted with some people on here.

Johnny isn't my nephew....actually, no relation. You might be interested to find that there are many good things being said about our beloved President's accomplishments. Did you go on "The National Review Cruise", Timm? If you did, I hope you had a spanking good time. If not, here's what you missed: http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/07/13/2499/ |

I have no problem going into IRAQ. I don't agree with his reasoning. I think he should have genocide has his reason. He could have said that we did it in the Balkans under Clinton and we need and can do it in IRAQ. I also believe that we should have instituted the draft as well. In WWII we drafted 14 million men to send over to Europe. Now we have the means to draft 30 million people. The reason for going to IRAQ is OK, the way it is managed is the problem.

yeah, the fear mongering continues because the war is such a sad joke. the was never a connection between the 2 until now. we gave them the best terror playground money could buy (about 10 billion a months worth). are these folks dangerous ? of course they are. are they capable? well not really. yes 9/11 happened. but if we had airline, border and port security it would of never happened. what are we getting for 10 billion a month ? debt and headaches. for millions we probably could of deployed special forces 5 years ago into eastern afganastan and caught the bastards. but no that was too easy and smart. now were ass deep in the sesspool with no way out . there should be thousands of troops on OUR OWN borders we pay the taxes . these politicians think there are 300 million suckers out there. there are alot of them ie. (whodey17,timmgirvan). if another attack occurs well our forces including alot of the national gaurd are unavailable. they've been tied up for years. yeah, he's doing a great job. lol

I really don't hold on to anger. Seriously, there will be better times. I pray daily for the safety of all that serve. They aren't to blame for the decisions that have been made on their behalf. Yes, lots of people with very good intentions bought into this. It was sold hard. The repeated lies are quite obvious. Some still believe that something good can come out of the occupation. I don't. Once the rope is cut on that sinking ship, perhaps the Iraqis will decide to stabilize their country. The US military forces have done enough, and more. Let's get our fingers off Iraq's resource that is so coveted by the "energy interests" (read Cheney). Pray for PEACE and the safe return of those that have served so admirably. Let ALL the families reunite in the spirit of love and healing. Everyone. |
