Nothing on the internet, will try Sirius! :(

Riot 07-05-2007 03:09 PM

Okay, I have Sirius playing commercials, and nothing on the 'net. I think Steve is supposed to be broadcasting today from somewhere in NY, Capital OTB?

At the Tele-theater on Central Avenue. Going there tomorrow hopefully! :)

Riot 07-05-2007 03:12 PM

Run over there today, and plug him in! :D

They must be having hookup problems ....

Echo Farm 07-05-2007 03:25 PM

I guess it's not me....................

Streaming is great until it doesn't work. I listen to a daily show out of Vegas, and sometimes a server at the station hangs up. It takes them 3 days to realize the streaming isn't working. I'm sure this means there won't be an archive for at least the first hour today.

Just as I post this, I hear Steve. He doesn't sound happy. Technical problems from Sirius.

BillW 07-05-2007 03:36 PM

Some "testing 1,2,3" coming thru now on the stream :)

Riot 07-05-2007 03:49 PM

Just checked - still have commercials on Sirius (I'll recheck 5:00pm) and nothing on the internet.

What a pain when you have guests scheduled!

Riot 07-05-2007 04:06 PM

Nothing on the net, but they are replaying that good, "Mutual Interests" on Sirius.

AeWingnut 07-05-2007 04:15 PM

got nothing as of ....4:14 CST
5:14 EST

docicu3 07-05-2007 04:40 PM

The sounds of silence everywhere as of 17:40 hours.....maybe we should call them via the toll free

TheSpyder 07-05-2007 04:42 PM

Steve,

Nada!

I think I know the problem, you probably got too much sleep over the 4th and now cannot function as you're use to 3 hours a night.

Hope you get it worked out.

Spyder

ATR Not To Be Heard Today.....

I just called the station and was told the earliest this will be fixed is tomorrow.

Look at it this way the show will be twice as good tomorrow with all the material and guests available.

My prayers with Steve Byk this has to be like picking winners on every race but you can't get your play down. The show is there but can't be heard...

Antitrust32 07-05-2007 05:10 PM

technical problems everyone

Show will be back live tomorrow on Sirius and the internet.

Kasept 07-05-2007 07:13 PM

Well.. where do I start?

#1) SIRIUS didn't think we had a show on today.. even though the schedule was laid out clearly..

#2) Wayne the Engineer decided to take a walkabout 15 minutes before airtime.. He won't be back. A net sum gain..

#3.) Despite brave efforts by Antilust.. er Antitrust.. to stand in, there was no way to link guests/callers to Sirius and me in the remote location..

We'll reboot it tomorrow with a new engineer..

My apologies.. Had Angel Penna, Eng, Haskin, Black and possibly Tagg and/or Violette on the docket..

AeWingnut 07-05-2007 07:18 PM

walk about? smoke break?

strict task master eh

No.. He walked out.. 15 minutes before the show was scheduled to start.. It was only one of the day's problems, but it added to the general travail.

Kasept 07-05-2007 08:01 PM

On an amusing sidenote, Capital OTB will be streaming video of the show live on their website Friday and next Wednesday-Friday...

Those used to the wit, aplomb and overall sophistication of BTW and his 'Playing to Win' show, will be sorely disappointed by watching me shuffle papers, adjust settings and stammer for 3 hours.. And sadly, I have no goatee..

Easy guys...I can think of some local "lady" cappers that would be much better! :)

AeWingnut 07-05-2007 10:31 PM

Redheads

if you're going to be televised or video streamed you need young ladies.
even if all she does is sit there and look nice.

I think blonde and brunettes have already been covered

horse racng needs Redheads

I know they are bad luck and all but nothing can save me

Riot 07-05-2007 10:41 PM

With all that, I'm surprised it's 9pm and you sound so rational about it :D

The Amusing Sidenote will be fun, and will probably more than make up for today's cluster-f.

Can you glue on a goatee, perhaps? :p

And excuse me, DT gentlemen, but why can't we have some good-looking GUYS sitting next to Steve?

Ya know, women are into horse racing, too!

Bizarre!! But I have found the more time you spend on this planet, the more bizarre things get...
Maybe I should dust off my Broadcast Communications Degree??? I know that valuable piece of paper is here somewhere....:)

This just in.......

Engineer Wayne found on the floor in the bathroom with the juke box stuck on
"Dont Stop Believing"....a single wound from an onion ring is thought to be the cause of death.....no other injuries to anyone at the scene unless you count the hearing loss over the last month for the poor quality sound he was responsible for......
