ATR: KMc, Em-Jay, Scatuorchio

An FYI that Wimbledon, depending on match lengths, will pre-empt the first hour of 'At the Races' the next 2 weeks... As it happens, next M-T-W (July 2nd-4th) we are airing "Best of" anyway...

But tonight, the first hour is particularly interesting, so if tennis coverage does cover our first hour, I will air a tape of Hour One from 6-7pm...

LISTEN LIVE LINK:
http://www.clearstreaming.com/radios...sandbeyond.asx

The lineup:

4:15: Kiaran McLaughlin on Invasor, Makderah, Daaher..

4:30: Ian Black on his Queen's Plate winner 'Mike Fox'..

4:45: Pat Mouton on his LaD stakes wins Saturday..

PLUS.. 5-5:30pm.. Johnny D. (HRTV/Xpressbet)..

5:30-5:45.. Eddie Plesa (Salvator Mile winner Gotcha Gold)..

AND! Scat Daddy owner Jim Scatuorchio.. (6pm)

Catch the replay on Sirius 126 from 1-4am & 4-7am... Or visit the archives on the website...

Kasept 06-25-2007 02:48 PM

Emma Jayne Wilson joins the lineup!

ADDED BONUS: Queen's Plate winning rider Emma-Jayne Wilson, who also is a regular on the Charles Simon string at Fair Grounds, joins the frivolity at 5:45pm...!

Tim Henman and Carlos Moya apparently not ATR fans.

paisjpq 06-25-2007 03:09 PM

this sure looks like information that belongs in the ATR information "room" that you created for ATR information.

Why are they playing the tournament anyways? Isn't Federer going to win?

Unless he's really emotionally damaged from his annual French Open failure, then yes.

Spendabuck85 06-25-2007 03:25 PM

No Andy on the schedule this week?

NoLuvForPletch 06-25-2007 03:28 PM

will the replay from 1-4am have the show in it's entirety? i usually record it and listen the following day for my commute.

ddthetide 06-25-2007 03:29 PM

Eh, I know very little about tennis, but Arnie Palmer never won the PGA Championship. Doesn't make him not great.

Federer has already established that he's great. We're trying to see if he's the best ever.

NL4P,

Yes... So you will hear the 4:15-4:45 segment (KMc & Ian Black) twice... But I thought that 'today only' Sirius listeners who missed the pre-empt portion would like to hear the 2 of them...

Andy is taking a few weeks off before the intense Saratoga season begins...

Hickory Hill Hoff 06-25-2007 05:35 PM

Steve, are you taking phone calls the last 15 mins of today's show?

Sure.. Can slip a few in...

(Though Tony Black is going to jump on for a minute to rip into the Molina penalties which seem over-the-top harsh...)

A brief freshening?

How long until the announcement of his retirement to stud? He really has done enough.

Andy's regarded as a stand-alone talent... Continues to race AND stand stud... Enjoys an unparalleled career both on track and in the shed!

Riot 06-25-2007 08:52 PM

I sent an e-mail to sirius via their website, figured it couldn't hurt ... "Hey, where's my ATR, what's this tennis stuff, can't it go on a different channel so I don't miss my show ??!!!"

DD,

Thx.. Was a really fun show to put together and the late additions of Emma-Jayne and Scatuorchio were cherry and sprinkles on the sundae...

Can't really complain about being pre-empted for things like the NCAA Tourney and Wimbledon... We're a daily afternoon talk show, and like on the TV networks, are designed to give way to 'daytime' event coverage.

Discovered last night after 7pm that Sirius is OK with us doing the show 5-8pm the rest of the way if folks would prefer...

Thoughts?

New time slot

For what it is worth, I love the 5-8 pm time slot.

Well... as of a recent Email, we will apparently stick with 4-7pm (joined in progress) as Sirius expects Wimbledon coverage to wrap closer and closer to 4pm (9pm GMT in UK) as early round matches conclude and field trims...

Go to the website www.sirius.com

Click on "help" way at the bottom. Then about the middle of the page, "contact us" and fill out the form - click on form, fill it out - demand more horse racing talk, less well-muscled, sweaty, young, strong, handsome tennis stars!

Uh .... wait a minute ..... let me think about this ..... naw, go for ATR ! :)
