Hollywood Today

I played the late pick four but there is an interesting horse in the 1st leg. Newport Topper (#5) is first time turf and the breeding screams green. 10/1 ML and I am guessing you might get every part of that because of the connections. This horse might get a perfect trip sitting 2nd. It is my experience that given the configuration at Hollywood, you have to be top tier to win 6f T events, you just don't close all that much. I'll say this, I am using him and the 7, even though I am not a fan of all the races the 7 has, but he is the fastest in the race.

Scav,
What are your thoughts on the late pk 4

Scav 06-07-2007 03:03 PM

I think it is extremely playable. Becuase you asked :)

5: 5,7
6: 1,2,3,9
7: 4 (think Talamo guns to lead, settles and slows, and then wins by 3-4 lengths)
8: 3,10,11

$24 per $1 and I played it 15 times

Note: I have been extremely cold the last couple of days.

Epsom

I like Red Opal in the 5th, because of the 6 times ITM
in the 7th Zann, mainly because Baze in hot the moment

There is no speed in the 7th, which is why I single where I single. I think they tried something last time and it failed. Talamo slows it down real good

whodey17 06-07-2007 03:51 PM

Hollywood Race 2. I think this 3/5 is beatable. I am going with the 4 and 5 horse.

$20 to win on the 5 and $4 exacta box 4-5.

whodey17 06-07-2007 04:18 PM

Race 3.

I really like this 1 with Talamo.

$20 to win on 1

ArlJim78 06-07-2007 04:23 PM

race 3 pk3

I think Mullins is letting Lobo use his stuff for the meet.

Late Pick 4

Race 5: 3,5,7 4/5
Race 6: 2,3,9
Race 7: 4
Race 8: 3,4,6,9,10,11

3x3x1x6 = $54 Good luck everyone

whodey17 06-07-2007 05:18 PM

Late Pick 4

Ok in race 5 how awesome does the 5 horse look. Above avg turf pedigree, drops in class, rail is out and is the speed of the speed. M/L 10-1.

Leg A - 5
Leg B - All (9)
Leg C - All (5)
Leg D - 3-6-10-12

There is absolutely NO WAY you are spending $180 on a normal day pick four ticket....Come on man, be realistic

Actually yes. This is my only day of wagering so I see no need to be thrifty. Plus they will have over $300k in the pick 4 pool today.

Scav 06-07-2007 05:31 PM

Well, it really doesn't matter either way, and I wish I wouldn't have even said anything, but that is a really expensive ticket when singling a 1st time turfer in the first leg and going extremely deep in the 7th, there is no logic there

I just took a chance is all. I was wrong, but in my opinion it was worth the risk.

mclem10011 06-07-2007 05:47 PM

Late pick 3....

Trying to nail a price on either end, with a single in the middle.
1-3-4-5-7-8-9
4
2-3-4-6-7-9-11-12
Like my single, Frankel off the layoff, with Talamo up!

Scav 06-07-2007 05:53 PM

Something is up with the 4 in the 7th, the will pay to the 4 is the THIRD lowest payout, with the 1 and 3 lower. Makes no sense

2Hot4TV 06-07-2007 06:08 PM

Union Ave. Who's got the speed to steal this?

I think what's up is the three.
the exacta 3-4 is paying $7, less than the three pays to win!
the 4-3 is paying $8

I like the three and was going to play an exacta, I think I'll play to win instead.

Kurt Hoover (on the Hollywood track feed) just said that the owner of the 3 has been known to unload on his horses in the past. That may explain the goofy exacta will pays.

$9.20 to win.

mclem10011 06-07-2007 06:37 PM

Frankel's horse.....

Never had a chance, was rank as hell all the way around!
What to do in the last? Buncha FTS's in here.

whodey17 06-07-2007 06:48 PM

I like this 10 horse in the last at Hollywood.

ArlJim78 06-07-2007 06:51 PM

going with the 4 in the finale.
used him first and second and to win.

mclem10011 06-07-2007 06:57 PM

That.....

10 ran on well to be third, one to watch.

-BT- 06-07-2007 06:57 PM
