Your favorite service
What service do you prefer most? And what makes one better than the other?

Is Bris the only service not to charge a monthly fee ?
|
Youbet doesn't charge if you meet a minimum, I think $350. Bris has no minimum and no charge for ACH money transfer (Youbet charges). The other ADW's are not available here so I can't speak of them.

anyone like xpressbet.com ?

I have Youbet and Xpressbet (since just before the Derby).
My impression: Xpressbet screen is more difficult to move around within, to keep what you want up where you want it (oddsboard, wager pad, video, race entry sheet). Video and sound quality are much better on X than You. You can't make autowithdrawals (direct transfers) from your account, however, but I've been getting the checks very quickly, within a week. Easy to make autodeposits, however. And the system doesn't seem to grind to a halt or slow as quickly or as often as Youbets. Youbet has a screen setup I much prefer (set up to get more showing on the computer more readily, oddsboard built in at the top, etc), but I can make quick deposits/withdrawals (although they were slow a couple times a couple months ago, it seems to have resolved). I don't pay a fee with either, so I don't know about that. I can download TG's through Youbet by using wagering credits, which is convenient (better than the silly useless "gifts" they have for points accumulation) |
Will Bris add tracks later in the year?
Are there any other services out there that Im missing? |
YB vs. Xpressbet
Overall, I like YB the best. Problem with all of the services is track selection.
I respectfully disagree with Riot on the X video being better than YB. I have been forced to use X to watch SMWLY's races and yesterday my X video froze up in the paddock, I didn't get to see her until the post parade. One might say I was having internet problems, but my YB video was rolling along showing me the Belmont feed while the X video was frozen. The only way to get money from X is to request a check and that is a HUGE problem for me. YB shoots it to my checking account in 2-3 business days, every time. I can't comment on Bris, I have an account but have never used it. No TVG in FL. |
My favorite service would have to be the Air Force.

I've been using twinspires for a few weeks and find things to be going well. I haven't done anything other than make wagers so I can't really give a resounding positive review, but they have taken my money very well so far.
I opened the twinspires because xpressbet pisses me off. Getting $$'s in to fund xpressbet has always been a problem for me. I finally broke down and faxed them a voided check and a signed form so I could direct deposit from my checking account. They still haven't found the fax and they ain't getting another one..... |
eHorse
I have used eHorse.com since the nonsense MEC pulled a few years ago when they didn't let BRIS and others have their signal. eHorse is very customer-friendly and I have had no problems with deposits or withdrawals. They have an exchange, too, that I have just started using a little bit and that is pretty cool.

You bet and It's easy to bet enough to get the service free.
|
Room service.
Edit: Ohhh wait. I'd have to say Twinspires. They'll be top dog when TVG's exclusives expire. Can withdraw my winnings at the track. Baaaaallin |
YouBet Customer Service is horrendous almost criminal at times. The number of players who has been screwed by them is staggering.
Bris system is a little cumbersome but free replays are a nice perk. Customer service better Xpressbet has limited tracks TVG sort of like kissing your sister in all regards. Luke warm on all Unfortunately the player has to mix and match as meets come and go to get the best available |
I like a completely different service, but I won't go there.
I have an ethical problem with EHorse.com - mainly the long-term survival of racing. Are they contributing ANYTHING to racing? ALostTexan |

I have TVG for New York, Hollywood, Del Mar, Suffolk and others...
Have Brisbet for Maryland, Churchill, Gulfstream Also have a Phone betting acct with Hinsdale Greyhound and OTB in NH, which is for all other tracks I need and my fall back option when the clowns in Massachusetts argue over their simulcast laws and we cant bet on anything. By far the best is Hinsdale, you call and talk directly to a mutuel clerk who places the bet for you  |
by far the best for many reasons is nhplay, all tracks available

One could put a picture of a horse on the wall, I suppose. Oh, yes, a minifridge. The clearest replay I saw of Sumwons' race was on the CD site. Don't understand it, much clearer fed to them from directly on Racereplays (same source) |

I have had no problem using YouBet, and i think there the best in the business.
(though i don't make phone wagers, i found it almost impossible to make a YouBet phone wager on Preakness weekend, i got tired after the first 5 minutes of hitting the touch tone that i just gave up) BrisBet, no problems with them. But, i don't like how you can only watch 1 video at a time and select 5 tracks (YouBet allows 8 tracks and max 2 video). They would be my 2nd choice XpressBet- never got into them at all TwinSpires- only has a VERY select tracks as of right now, and the only one im interested in is Churchill. The other day they had a problem with the login page so i couldn't wager on the entire Churchill Downs card, also don't care for the interface. TVG-have an account, but no way to fund it in a timely manor, and they can kiss my a$$ if they want a per wager fee from me Been thinking about opening an account with that exchange book that allows you to wager vs. other players (the one that was advertised on ATRAB), anyone have any feedback on them? WHO HAS ARLINGTON? -bt- |

As far as Twin Spires they should have Arlington, it is a CDI track, and you are supposed to be able to use your twin spires card. I am a TS member so they sent me e-mails about the wager site. There are different levels of TS accounts though, some are just points some are wager. And if you can't get CDI tracks you can sign up on the website and it allows you to watch, having Directv that's how I am watching Churchill. (Guess I will have to switch to Dish when FG starts back up). If you sign up on one track you are a member of all, ie: I signed up for Fairgrounds but get access to all CDI tracks. I am interested to see how TS goes, been thinking of signing up. |
