My new horse's debut!!

Here we go again!!

This sunday my new horse will make his 2yo debut, here in Brazil (São Paulo's State race track)!!

The race is a "Special Race" (I don't know the similar in the US, but it's the immediate step before a listed race) for unraced 2yo colts.

He will enter the gate at post 1 against 8 opponents (1.400 meters - turf):

1 - ULTRASONIC VARIETY (55) - Pleasant Variety and Locomotiva Sul (by Bowling);
2 - Galvani (55) - Baynoun (ire) and Great Virtual (by Roi Normand (usa)) ;
3 - Crepúsculo (55) - Wondertross (usa) and Cor do Céu (by Val de Gráce);
4 - Ielton (55) - Grimaldi and Ieda Lamar (by Fort de France II);
5 - Blood-Fiver (55) - Choctaw Ridge (usa) and Blood Sister (usa) (by Red Ransom (usa));
6 - Swiss Army (55) - Yagli (usa) and Swiss Lady (by Caduto);
7 - Hurry and Hurry (55) - Blade Prospector and Justice Wing (by Ghadeer (fr));
8 - Did You Ask Mix (55) - Sagamix (fr) and Ola I Ask (by Grimaldi);
9 - Ocean Bounty (55) - Vettori (ire) and Paula Stein (by Solstein (usa))

He worked 1.400m. (7f) at 91.6s. and a mile at 101.8s.

Hope he does everything well!!! And I wish him better luck than my first horse (Ojo de Agua)!! By the way, #9 Oceant Bounty is half brother of my first horse, Ojo de Agua, what a coincidence!! :D

Since none of them has ever raced, feel free to send your comments and predictions!! :)

If you want to watch the race live for free, go to www.jockeysp.com.br on Sunday at 06:00 p.m. (GMT). I hope I will be there taking a photo after the race!...lol...

See you!

Maybe when I sell my horse to Godolphin they would pay for the trip!...lol....by this time I think its cheaper for me not travelling to the US...besides, it would be shame for a colt lose to a filly!...:D ...he would get emotional problems!

fmc123412 05-25-2007 09:15 AM

Thanks for the best wishes! I'm pretty excited!

STS,

Scroll to the bottom of the page, it looks like we are GMT -4 which would make 6:00 GMT, 2:00 Eastern. Hopefully FMC will correct me if I am wrong.

Can we wager on this race through Pimlico??

Here in São Paulo (Brazil) we are GMT - 03:00.
Actually the race is 03:00 p.m. local time (06:00 p.m. GMT). I don't know which time will be on Miami. I think maybe 01:00 p.m.

To watch races live, you'll have to register yourself at the link called "Corridas ao Vivo" with a .gif image of a horse moving.

It will be the 3rd race of the card.

Here is the link of PP's if you want to see them for fun....I dont' think there is any way of betting this race from outside Brazil. http://www.jockeysp.com.br/sms/arquivos/RTCJ270507.DOC

Actually she showed a lot of class when running here...one of the top fillies of her age....she went her first 3 starts winless (3 3rd places), but then she won 3 in a row, including a G2....everything on the turf....from 7f to 10f...and did that with style...she showed she prefers the turf....I dont know how turf horses do on the cushion track....

I know she ran a 4th place in her Gr III debut on the US, coming from a 7 month layoff....she is entered to run today, i think....in an US$55k allowance....if she confirms her races here...it will be easy for her to win, imo

31lengths 05-25-2007 08:44 PM

good luck !

my miss storm cat 05-26-2007 12:13 AM

Oh best of luck! How exciting!!!!! :) :cool:

I'll look for you in the winner's circle.

fmc123412 05-28-2007 07:38 PM

This is a horrible ride!!!....

Look what the jockey did with my horse this sunday!!!

He was the 3rd favourite in the field of 7 (2 scratches)

He is the horse at post 1:

http://www.jockeysp.com.br/resultado...=JC13927052007

click at "Veja o Replay" at race 3 (Páreo: 003)

fmc123412 05-28-2007 07:41 PM

the trainer told the jockey not to let the horse stay behind the field cause he is too calm on training.....he needs some competition....

The horse jumped from the gate badly so the jock let him run a little for him to stay close to the others....

the horse simply started running and the jockey couldnt control him!!!...He (and a front runner) opened more than 10 lenghts from third place....

Then you will see what happend...:(

sumitas 05-28-2007 07:49 PM

the horse bolted dead right out of the gate, very green and rank. maybe the jockey thought he was in the stretch but he really needed to tuck your horse away and let him settle. instead your horse wasted all his energy weaving about trying to gain the lead in the first turn.

fmc123412 05-28-2007 08:04 PM

I agree with you....dont know what happened there....the jockey is a very experienced one....3rd place on statistics last year....its sad....maybe next time...:)

sumitas 05-28-2007 08:25 PM

absolutely...your horse looks like he is full of run...only his first race as a 2 yr. old and he had no chance in the race going into the first turn...i think the biggest thing is to get the horses to relax, then take it from there.

my miss storm cat 05-29-2007 11:39 AM

Thanks for the replay and for keeping us up to date.....

Next time! :)

Have faith.
