zanjero???
I've seen several on here talking about him. I have a question. He was galloping around the track this morning with his head buried into his neck. Does that signify anything? It looked odd to me, like he didn't like the rain and wet track, like he was trying to avoid it.

I THOUGHT THE SAME EXACT THING! He has to like the rain. He is the "WATERBOY"! |
good to hear cause i like this horse to win the derby;)
|
So are we all in agreement that he likes the rain??
Also gotta ask what ddoes everyone think about Cowtown Cat in the slop?? I know he likes bad weather too |
I always thought they called that "in a frame," but what do I know?

Can be called many things in the hunter/jumper world. "in a frame" is a nice dressage term too. But I didn't see him so I can't say wheter he was "on the bit"; "under the bit", "above the bit", etc... |

Can see him in the 3rd & 4th slots...remember Hard Spun likes an "off track" too!

Something about Hard Spun, I like. I can't put my finger on it, but I do like him. Lunch time is almost here. I will be looking at the PPs and will let you know what I come up with. I do my best reviewing of the PPs at lunchtime. |

That may be next. We are going to start off slowly with him just at the walk. I know he can frame up because when I am walking to him with treats he frames up beautifully and gives me little nickers. (MY FAVE THING BY THE WAY. I LIVE FOR THOSE NICKERS) |
zanjero has no shot

Seriously, why do you say that? He seems to be working well lately. |
If this board is any indication, Hard Spun is going to go off at like 5-1 tomorrow.

I didn't ask for baseball tips! :D You could always PM me. Just wondering what your thoughts on him were. I had this horse in my top five, but if you are telling me he has no shot, I would kinda like to know why. I am not trying to argue. I agree with you on Curlin having no shot. |

I like him to fill out the bottom of exotics, though. |
I hope he runs next to last. Assface doesn't belong in the derby.

2. Cherokee Run will not sire a Derby (1 1/4) winner 3. Bridgmohan 4. has no real style. no kick when stalking, lacks finish last 1/8th when way behind 5. not good enough |

Thanks. I will second guess my thoughts now. :) Seriously though, I will take a harder look at him so thanks. Maybe I just like his name... |
Chuck just wants to get the odds up higher on Zanjero. :D

Thanks for the input. I enjoyed my soggy morning at the track. Cannon, I cruised by barn 14, but it was a ghost town. I got to see several contenders today. Zanjero, Curlin, No Biz, Bawanna, Tiago, Wildncrazyguy and Segfield. As far as looks go, I liked No Biz. He seemed like a monster to me. I had to roll to work at 8, so I may have missed some others.
FYI, even though it's been raining, the track is still looking good. Should be nice and solid, baring some kind of downpour. That's what I like about Churchill, the mix of clay and sand make for a nice base. I think that's one place that will NEVER go Poly. Peace. |
