Which of the "contenders" are you tossing?
 

Of the Derby horses that are contenders less than 10-1 on the morning line...which two will you not be using in any of your exotic plays?
For me it's - NoBiz Like Shobiz & Curlin

Street Sense.

Curlin .... half this field will start making their moves near the mile mark...

Curlin, Hard Spun, and Scat will probably be on or near the lead as we approach the 1/8 pole... Curlin hasn't faced that before and will fold and be passed by the deep closers... see 7th place or worse for the m/l fav...

Curlin, If he doesn't win he won't be in the super. If he wins Oh well, I lose, there will be more races on Sunday.

Curlin and Hard Spun...somewhere somebody reads this and runs to the exacta window.

I am on the Triple H bandwagon, I haven't even considered using these two

I'm having a hard time liking HARD SPUN.

I'm throwin' Scat Daddy out. News of the bar shoes did it for me.....

Curlin, Scat Daddy and Hard Spun. Probably No Biz as well unless he comes out as focused as Al Sharpton in a cash grab machine.

Curlin- has to many obstacles to overcome and hasnt faced this type of animal before..(could be moving forward though, but I will bet against it)

Scat Daddy- hasnt really improved.. Seems to run identical races every time out, and wont cut it here.(gotta respect Prado's choice)

NoBiz Like ShoBiz- see Scat Daddy, the extra furllong will be his undoing..Would be tough to hold off charging horses for another panel.

Any Given Saturday- would love to see it happen, although his draw and the fact that Hammerhead Hank likes him are major hurdles. (Johnny V aint no dummy)

I'm tossing Sedgefield, Curlin, Storm in May (sorry B-Dub), Imawildandcrazyguy, Teuflesberg, Stormello, Dominican and Great Hunter so far. (Unless Steve says otherwise... I value his opinion highly.)

No need to apologize, I think they were talking about contenders that you were tossing anyway. By default, those horses had already been tossed :D

I'll toss Scat daddy ---Curlin----CQ. You have to eliminate some of the contenders and these are my three.

cowtown cat. i have no basis for this other than i don't believe that name sounds like a derby winner.

i don't think a derby horse should have "cow" anywhere in their name. same goes for "rat", "donkey", and "zebra".

Well shiat, if we're picking the winner by names, I'm going with Zanjero, Tiago or Great Hunter... love those names.

Cowtown Cat does not sound like a winner but does sound like a horse that hits the board at a nice price

All three syllables as well, so you're still in good graces there.

As for my throw outs, I am getting nowhere near Curlin and Circular Quay. Perhaps CQ on the bottom of tris and supers.

I think this is as good as any. I am suprised at the number of people that have thrown out Curlin though. If this board is an indication of the public in general he might be 11-1 or so.

The only horses that will get a spot on my exacta and tri tickets are Curlin, Circular Quay, Scat Daddy, Hard Spun, and Nobiz. I won't play a single other horse. Street Sense and Any Given Saturday both have no shot in my opinion. Saturday, they will pay the price for the Tampa race.

KG has never been known for his tosses. I give him credit for taking the stand to toss logical horses but after tossing Saint Liam and Invasor in back to back Classics I take the rest with a grain of salt.
