Pletcher has his mounts set for the Derby
Thought this deserved some attention...
Gomez to ride Any GivenSaturday in Kentucky Derby by Jeff Lowe Trainer Todd Pletcher has his jockey plans in place for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1), with Garrett Gomez taking the call on Any Given Saturday. Edgar Prado will remain on Scat Daddy after guiding the colt to a victory in the Florida Derby (G1) when regular jockey John Velazquez was out of town for the Dubai World Cup (UAE-G1) program. Velazquez will ride Louisiana Derby (G2) winner Circular Quay in the Kentucky Derby, Pletcher said on Monday. Velazquez also has been the regular rider for Any Given Saturday, who finished third in the Wood Memorial Stakes (G1) on April 7 at Aqueduct. Fernando Jara will stay on Illinois Derby (G2) winner Cowtown Cat and Ramon Dominguez will ride Sam P., the third-place finisher in the Santa Anita Derby (G1). http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/rac...cky-Derby.aspx |
Awesome news... couldn't be happier about Prado staying up on Scat Daddy.

lololol Jeremy Rose, he did take 2/3 of the triple crown not to long ago and he dominates laurel, i'd rather have him over ramon or fernando |

The only jockey I would chose over RD is Prado. In the latest Thoroughbred Times #1 ranked jockey last year was RD. I guess Pletcher doesn't know what he is doing with putting RD on Sam P. |

I rather bet his runners than NoBiz or Curlin at a short price, which those two will be! |

While your enthusiasm is admirable.....and it's certainly ok to have a lot of opinions and express them all---but perhaps, when you're on here, you might want to try reading a little more and posting a little less. Just a suggestion. |

Street Sense - Curlin - NoBiz Like Shozbiz What if, NoBiz is least than 4-1? Will you not bet him hard??? |

Java OUT |
Well, if you're a fan of Circular Quay then this news has to make you feel better (and the 6F work from Sunday).
If CQ was iffy and/or having issues, there's no way Johnny V would be announced as the jockey on him. And I think CQ, Scat Daddy and AGS all have a chance to hit the board on May 5th. |

i told you Chekov was not a good play. i told you that I would not bet on Lightstyle. these were all strong feelings you had. Here is another one, don't bet like crazy on No Biz in the Derby. He is not very likely to win imo, and I feel strongly about that. |
