Play the speed at Lone Star on the dirt, especially going two turns. They NEVER come from the back.

The turf course is pretty honest.

Good luck!

Race 7

22 min to post

#6 satans fast ride m/l 30-1 currently 9-2
#1 circustown cat m/l 8-1 currently 3-1

value in this one? or sharp money early?

philcski 04-12-2007 09:26 PM

Playing the late pick 4, all for a buck.

3,7/2,7,11,12/1/3,5
2,10/2,7,11,12/1/3,5
3,7/1,3,6,10/1/3,5
2,10/1,3,6,10/1/3,5
3,7/2,7,11,12/4,10/3,5

$80 total. I really like the 1 in the 9th- got a race under her belt to start 2007, obviously in a condition she wasn't well meant, was probably angled for this race all along. At the end of '06 was running against much tougher, competitively- note the 7 length loss to the outstanding filly Vacare @ Arlington (who parlayed that into the QEII win.)

Usually when they open there isn't enough money to figure anything smart. $100 wager in a $1000 pool will skew the odds significantly...

GL, let's get it done.
The 5 looks pretty solid in the last. Unless the 1 is ready to go 2 turns off the long layoff this is a 2 horse race, at best.

1 gets home and pays $9. :)

i was hoping the 5 would come back to the field, my 35-1 shot the #6 was gaining tons of ground late on the rail.

nice call, and way to keep that chalk out

gl in the last

I've said for years that Calder should run at night. 1- They have no business going against the top tracks around the country 2- The weather is so damm hot during the day that it would benefit the horses 3- The handle would soar because they would be the best thing going at night. Just My Opinion, but I have been saying it for a few years now. I also enjoyed LS and will play every Fri night during their meet.

Bogey, great call on that. Calder would be perfect for lights. Having spent much time in Miami in the summer... uncomfortable is the kind way to put it.

I'd go as far as saying handle would DOUBLE if they went to night racing.

I am also a huge fan, the pick three's there pay extremely well if you beat 1 favorite in the sequence, I also love the fact that they have some turf racing at night, always peaks my interest a little

I agree, I'm playing tonight, but it's sloppy and off. Plus it's a great way to kick off the weekend.
