Admire Moon looks deadly!!!

SundayStar 03-31-2007 11:13 AM

asian invasion

daiwa major over admire moon

SentToStud 03-31-2007 11:16 AM

Pretty amazing the two Japan horses plus Lava Man and English Channel look like they'll be the four favorites here.

TitanSooner 03-31-2007 11:16 AM

still early, but Admire Moon is 14/1 ??

I love Lava Man, But not at 2 to 1 on the road. Are people nuts?

ceejay 03-31-2007 11:31 AM

Lotsa value in US pools with Lava Man underlaid @ 2-1. Admire Moon @ 9-1 10 MTP. I kinda like irradesence but 9-1 is too short.

Danzig 03-31-2007 11:32 AM

was just thinking the same thing 2hot....but if honey ryder can be the int'l fave, why not lava man?!
i told kev i'd pull for english channel, and feel he has a good shot here-sentimentally, i'd like to see lava man win it-but history tells us he won't show.....so why all the betting on him? hope over experience i guess.

admire moon is going to be tough.

Hickory Hill Hoff 03-31-2007 11:33 AM

The two favorites are the class of the field, but...
MYSTICAL, KAPIL, FORMAL DECREE & LINNGARI are the "value" underneath & in the "place" hole.

2Hot4TV 03-31-2007 11:33 AM

Great price on Admire Moon.

ArlJim78 03-31-2007 11:33 AM

It's bombs away for me in this race.
Looking for Kapil or Linngari to light up the board.

Can't believe Lava man getting pounded, 5/2?

ALostTexan 03-31-2007 11:35 AM

Time to take the laptop out on the balcony, light up a good cigar, and watch these last two races, a couple of the great races of the year.

Good luck to everyone....

My picks were Daiwa Major, Admire Moon, and Pompeii Ruler. I love the Lava Dude and have always thought the adulation of English Channel overdone. The truth is that US turf form has fallen off big-time since the days of Manila and Theatrical.

Lava 03-31-2007 11:35 AM

Lava to win:D

Left Bank 03-31-2007 11:36 AM

Lava Man at 5/2?WHAT ARE PEOPLE THINKING?

Irridescence / Formal Decree with Seihali or Lava man.....

Lava 03-31-2007 11:38 AM

I will not bet it but I hope he wins it:D

ALostTexan 03-31-2007 11:40 AM

I am taking it that Marty Wolfson isn't in Dubai, since I won't get on a plane.

Has anyone seen his wife there yet? I figured he would send her so that she could spend 45 minutes in the winners circle crying over a 3 minutes speech...

Scav 03-31-2007 11:40 AM

Exacta Box

Irridescence, Kapil, Miesque's Approval, Linngari,English Channel

Pedigree Ann 03-31-2007 11:44 AM

Lava Man came last, was never in the running, never got a call. Wasn't in the front group, where he likes to be.

randallscott35 03-31-2007 11:44 AM

Lava Man last....Back to Cali.

English Channel---nothing....Cacique would've done more.

Left Bank 03-31-2007 11:45 AM

He was second all the way down the backstretch.. then went backwards faster than a quarter horse.

Should have boxed the exacta. Of course, I put my $2 place on the only one who didn't hit the board.

That's not necessary. I'd be happy to have a claiming horse that's won 4 million.

JJP 03-31-2007 11:47 AM

Hopefully we won't have to watch Lava Man run outside California again. It seems obvious he needs his race day Bute.

Clueless hubby came in, started talking during the first part of the race. Didn't think I heard 'Lava Man' mentioned.
