A Tide fan that doesn't like Auburn? Who woulda thunk it! Haha :D

(I don't like Auburn either.)

The NIT is a fun tournament to watch, but remember, the winner of it is still only the 66th best team in the nation.

Yeah, you are 100& right. Clemson would have been smoked by Niagara. And Syracuse would have got destroyed by Penn (although Syacuse did beat them by 18 this year).

Of course, you may just be bitter that your beloved Notre Dame were one of the only lower seeds to get knocked out in the first round of the NCAA. I guess I am just happy to have my alma mater still be playing b-ball this late in the post-season. Maybe I would be happier if they were knocked out in the first round.

Tell Weiss to man up and schedule the Tigers some year. Davis and Spiller would love to show him what a running game is all about. ; )

You're not serious, right? Please say you're not serious.

IrishofNDMan 03-28-2007 02:31 PM

If the games were played, I would take most NIT teams over the lower seeds in the tournament like you named, I was just throwing out a comment, take a chill pill guys. I am well aware that Syracuse is better than probably any 11-16 seed in the tournament.

If I want to talk football, I will go somewhere else to do so rather than with a Clemson fan. Do they even have a team?

They won a National championship in 1981, Notre Dame's last 88? not that much diff. big fella, they are both a LONG time ago.

They sure do, a team that has faced your beloved Irish just once. I'm hoping you can guess in whose favor it ended.

For all the yammering about Notre Dame football around the country, they've sure been bone dry on the national championship scene, huh?

Notre Dame bashing... yippee!!!

ARyan 03-28-2007 03:07 PM

I LOVE IT!!!!!! Can you feel the Orange Love!!! SOLID ORANGE!!!
(Or is it hatred of the irish ;) )

Funny, Charile Boy was complaing up a storm about Clemson last year when they took Notre Dame's top TE recruit!! Waaaahhhh Waaahhhh!

Clemson Football has a long and storied history.

Here are some other quick facts for your unintelligent statement;

-Clemson is currently the leader among ACC schools for conference championships at 13

-The Touching of the Rock and Running Down the Hill has been widly stated as "the most exciting 25 seconds in college football."

-Heard of a guy named Heisman? He coached at Clemson.

Want more??

over the last 10 years? Clemson is a FAR better program than nd. this past season, clemson would have run ALL OVER that sorry nd defense.

IrishofNDMan 03-28-2007 06:35 PM

golden dome jr. college fan? Wanna fill me in on that??

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

IrishofNDMan 03-28-2007 06:36 PM

I hate Michigan, but them and Notre Dame are the two most storied college football programs of all time, and don't try to give me no Alabama crap, and especially no Clemson crap.

IrishofNDMan 03-28-2007 06:38 PM

And another funny thing, I commented on this thread and did not speak one word about Notre Dame, but do you guys see how the Notre Dame bashing instantly begins when I post on a sports thread that isn't even about Notre Dame.

Notre Dame haters are too funny!!!!

Keep it coming, I love the hate!

It appears your grasp on college football is about the same as your picking of NCAA Tourney games...winthrop...winthrop...winthrop...anyone... anyone...

Look at national championships and look under Nebraska, Oklahoma, Alabama, USC, your steppin a bit overboard. Go back to 1950 so you can get more Irish in, make that 49 and start counting. Michigan??? Texas has more than Michigan.

Michigan and Notre Dame... blinded by the light. What is it with Ohio State and Notre Dame fans? Michigan fans I found a bit more humble.

I know, I know... I'm guilty as charged. But it's just so damn easy! :p

I will go back to being on my best behavior.

I dont hate Notre Dame. I like their program. I just think you may have lost your mind. Some fans have a very hard time looking at the home team objectively. When you do that you set yourself up for dissappointment.

The way I see Notre Dame... I think this could put you into a severe depression and I dont want you killing yourself. So go back and look closely. Look at the other teams I mentioned for your therapy session.

IrishofNDMan 03-28-2007 08:05 PM

I don't need a therapy session. I am aware of the tough times Notre Dame football has been going through, but I am also aware of the long and rich tradition that ND football has such as the Gip, 4 horsemen, Knute Rockne. You guys can bash all you want, but Notre Dame football has been part of my life since I started playing football when I was 7, and I will always think they are the best no matter what people say or what the situation is. If that is a crime, then take me to jail!

It's no crime at all. I feel the same way about the Gators and support them win or lose. I was born and raised a Gator, and I'll die one. It's just comical that every time something negative is said about Notre Dame, their "tradition" is brought up. Who gives a shiat about their tradition when it comes to playing football TODAY? That's what I'm trying to figure out.

I was just being my immature self. Just kidding. But when it gets cold up there, maybe a good ear lobe flicking is in order.

you CAN'T be serious? the only thing michigan and nd have on Bama, they've been playing football about 10 years longer. in those 10 years nd has ONE (13) more national championship than Bama (12).
Bama, most bowl apperences 54, most bowl victories 30, thats just a start.

i respect nd's tradition, they are in the top 10 of college football history. it's the nd fans that i can't stomach.

IrishofNDMan 03-29-2007 10:40 AM

A few of my friends go to Alabama, and when they come back to Michigan for the summer they walk around parties making idiots of themselves while they are drunk yelling "Roll Tide Roll". Now how annoying would that be when everyone is having a good time, and a few idiots want to yell "Roll Tide Roll" as loud as they can. We just laugh at them and let them know they are acting like major Douche Bags.

ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDE ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

jman5581 03-29-2007 10:41 AM

almost as bad as OH-IO.

Funny, I always thought the "Douche Bags" went to Notre Dame...

I must have been mistaken...

;)

IrishofNDMan 03-29-2007 10:59 AM
