I am pumped for Santa Anita today. I love this card. Made my first wager this month at Gulf and lost $200 so I am behind the 8 ball so to speak. But Santa Anita is looking good for me today. I like everything but race 1.

Scav 03-25-2007 03:34 PM

Sadler's horse in the 2nd took alot of action in the doubles, Gomez aboard and he just won the 1st, not sure if it is people playing the Sadler/Gomez Double or if the horse is live but worth a look

The Santa Ana is very nice!

Interesting horse. Sadler isnt known for sending out first time winners (according to the DRF), but Lite the Fuse is a pretty good sire for firsters. I like the workout pattern. I want to see how the horse looks on the track.
In the 2nd I really like Legs That Dont Quit. She get fair odds on her. My normal wager $50 ACB. on Legs That Dont Quit.

whodey17 03-25-2007 04:04 PM

I think you should get your money back when you finish last. Good job by the 1 horse. Mullins is hard to bet first time out but she got the job done. Congrats to everyone who had her and to the connections.

whodey17 03-25-2007 04:16 PM

Anita 3rd - Phar To Win. I believe this horse scratched from the Grade II yesterday to go in this race. Horse is in good form. Turn back in distance and Jon Court rides and Court is going to be giving the Georhge Wolfe award today. So why not take him. Hate to go against CNak on the turf but I will take Phar To Win. $50 ACB.

SCUDSBROTHER 03-25-2007 04:27 PM

I didn't want Frankel shoving chalk down my throat, and so am playing the FG card..

Hawk 03-25-2007 04:30 PM

R3: Mitchell/Drysdale Dutch 6-7W

Coach Pants 03-25-2007 04:30 PM

Race 3

Golden Arrow $25 w

2Hot4TV 03-25-2007 04:36 PM

They gave that race to Court. Phar to Win never changed leads and was lugging. Love the Bell / Court combination.

Coach Pants 03-25-2007 04:36 PM

Golden Apple showed absolutely nothing.

La Canada and Carava need their heads examined for giving Nakatani another shot on Epic Power.

whodey17 03-25-2007 04:37 PM

Yeah the race seemed weird, but I will take it.

2Hot4TV 03-25-2007 04:41 PM

Everybody is touting Away down south in the 4th. I will watch this one.

whodey17 03-25-2007 04:42 PM

Anita Race 4 -One of my least fav races on the card. Hate to go against Mullins and Bone but the price is going to be short. Gomez is riding the 3 and I am not sure why he is riding in a MC $18k. I think it is more of a favor than anything else. But MSW to MC, Turf to Dirt - tons to like about this horse. The field is weak and I am going to go on a limb and take the 7 Stormin Eli. But it is going to only be $20 ACB this time.

whodey17 03-25-2007 05:09 PM

Ok - how much younger is that bride than the groom? She looked as she is like early 30's and he looks like he is in his late 40's. Anyway, nice race by the 8 horse. Couldnt take him at 2/5. On to race 5.

whodey17 03-25-2007 05:17 PM

Anita race 5 - Boy this race is full of speed. How often does it seem that a race full of speed gives us a wire to wire winner. There are a couple of horses I like - Meetmeinthewoods and Come To Light. I am going to take those two over all in an exacta and then take $50 ACB on Meetmeinthewoods.

2Hot4TV 03-25-2007 05:36 PM

Trick a cat and Subway sing have a look to be in the money.

Coach Pants 03-25-2007 05:37 PM

Race 5

$10wp 5

whodey17 03-25-2007 05:41 PM

Oh bombs away. No excuse for the 9. At least I get the show money. The 10 was prob the best horse. Court has plenty left and had to check. Of course you prob wont get 21-1 on him in his next start. On to the pick 4.

Scav 03-25-2007 05:41 PM

Take what you can from this ticket

I know most people won't go nuts and put $108 into a pick four but what the hell....

03/25/07 SA 6 $108 Pick-4 5,7,9 / 1,2,6 / 1,3,7 / 1,4,5,9 ------ Cancel

Scavs - this is a very hard pick 4 in my opinion. I cannot come up with a ticket less than $108.

Leg 1 - 2-5-6-7
Leg 2 - 2-3-7-9
Leg 3 - 5-6
Leg 4 - 1-4-5-7-10

$160

Coach Pants 03-25-2007 05:56 PM

Here goes nothin...

Pick 4
6,7
1,2,5,9
1
1,5,7,10

Scav 03-25-2007 06:01 PM

Alright, I chickened out and included the 6 also because I didn't want to hit the other three races and not have the 8/5 chalk, only an additional $36

03/25/07 SA 6 $108 Pick-4 5,7,9 / 1,2,6 / 1,3,7 / 1,4,5,9 ------ Cancel
03/25/07 SA 6 $36 Pick-4 6 / 1,2,6 / 1,3,7 / 1,4,5,9 ------ Cancel

whodey17 03-25-2007 06:01 PM

Well I sure do hope one of us hits it this afternoon. We all have different tickets so I like our chances.

Scav 03-25-2007 06:02 PM

It shows you why the pick four is such a great wager, just in us three, look at the diversity

whodey17 03-25-2007 06:07 PM

I agree - $336 totaly wagered between us 3 and we still may not hit it. I love the pick 4. Only $1 and the payoffs are pretty good. Good luck to everyone.

Coach Pants 03-25-2007 06:10 PM

I just hope I win a race out of the sequence. :D

Scav 03-25-2007 06:20 PM

Today just got REAL interesting catching Olguin on this rat......oh man

whodey17 03-25-2007 06:21 PM

Well 35% off the claim for Bacerra isnt a bad angle. I didnt like the horse at all. But awesome hit. I am sure Peace Accord was a single on many tickets. I will be cheering for you.

Coach Pants 03-25-2007 06:22 PM

Go buy me a chevrolet

Coach Pants 03-25-2007 06:23 PM

I'm rollin that into a late pick 3.

Good luck, scav.

whodey17 03-25-2007 06:25 PM

Not a bad idea pillow. I havent hit a thing all day. I guess I will role my losing pick 4 ticket into a pick 3. Same horses for 7-8-9.

Scav 03-25-2007 06:38 PM

Citronade should NOT be 2/5...NO WAY...Gomez should be interesting here

TheSpyder 03-25-2007 06:41 PM

I like the 6...also Memorette is a favorite. Good luck to all

Sightseek 03-25-2007 06:42 PM

I like the 9

whodey17 03-25-2007 06:47 PM

Well she won like a 2/5 horse. But she had everything her own way. Very soft fractions and no one with any kick. Nice race and way to stay alive Scavs.

TheSpyder 03-25-2007 06:49 PM

Nice horse!

Scav 03-25-2007 06:50 PM

Byk's favorite topic horse in Conveyor's Angel just keeps on getting checks in huge races. Paasch is really an underrated trainer

Very nice horse...her and Sugar Shake are going to single-handedly take all of the F&M Graded Stakes in California.

Nice job Scavs.
