Santa Anita - Wed 3/21

The first 2 YR old races of the year tomorrow, going 2f. I hate to see it....those babies need to be turned out and be allowed to grow.

hockey2315 03-20-2007 04:45 PM

What's the point of even running a horse this early?!

docicu3 03-20-2007 05:10 PM

Money........

Coach Pants 03-20-2007 05:23 PM

You can only run so many $25,000 maiden claimer filly races.

Really not much of a point. The risk of hurting your horse is high and if you do win where do go from there?

Los Al

jman5581 03-20-2007 07:26 PM

Is River Glow going to win the 2nd?

Rootdog1 03-20-2007 08:36 PM

not sure, going to be alot of speed up front....depends on if the girl can relax.....and that :58.2 bullet shows she is probably ready to run. I actually like her stablemate as much, as the race sets up well for her.

docicu3 03-21-2007 12:44 AM

#4 La Chola is a solid closer who has a nice pattern, is rested after a nice race with Flores returning that has merit and may get a decent price versus the paired speedsters. Gotta use in P4..

docicu3 03-21-2007 02:06 AM

Early P4

The early P4 is probably a mess after this damn 2F crapshoot so 2 P4 tickets to "Andy" things out.

All/1,3,4/3/3

2nd more reasonable....

1,3,7/1,3,4/1,3,6/1,3,6

The late P4 is more sporting.....probably should play Races 2-4 as P3 and screw the los Al's of tomorrow!!.......tomorrow.

docicu3 03-21-2007 04:10 AM

Late P4 At SA

I thought the early quad was tough with the baby burners.....this P4 on the back half will pay huge.

If the 7 Sunshine Ridge doesnt run back to previous one time turf form which is at best 1 in 3 you could be looking at 5 figures.

Forget the P6 the value is here!!!

Race 5 5,6,7,8

Race 6 1,2,5,6,8,9

Race 7 2,5,6,7

Race 8 1,2,5,9,10

$480 I believe and probably worth every penny.....

docicu3 03-21-2007 04:39 AM

That feels good spending 6 hours on 8 races using multiple sources and tools....a life is a terrible thing to waste but dame I love this game!!

I dont see a race where she closed any ground......she had her 3rd win in 31 starts last time out on the lead in a $16k claimer. Maybe I am looking at the wrong horse.

Rootdog1 03-21-2007 08:38 AM

I agree, late pk4 is gonna be BIG. I have no confidence in the #8, who got away running all alone last time out and didnt come home all that fast, or the #9 who got away with crazy slow middle fractions on the lead going 6f, in the 6th today. I am considering using all others, this race is that confusing to me. My top pick may be the #2 at 15-1.

Rootdog1 03-21-2007 10:17 AM

Holy Crap........the #1 Entry in the first are TWINS........WOW.

Looks like Cerin is trying to change her running style. If she goes to the front in this one like she has the past two races she might get brave, but I don't think there's enough in the tank to hold off the pressers. There will be 3on the lead, followed closely by River Glow in check alongside Speedy Cajun. The stablemate, Team Decision, should be the caboose. We'll see what kind of fractions they set...they should weaken in the stretch and if RG is close enough she should take over down the lane with her even running style. Just my thoughts...

Rootdog1 03-21-2007 12:22 PM

agree 100% with that analysis. I personally think it is either the #1 entry or #3 Sneaky Jack at the wire.

May as well take the 1, seeing as you'd probably get a price for the 1a...I'd play the 1$ tri...

1/1,5/1,3,4,5

good luck!

SCUDSBROTHER 03-21-2007 12:40 PM

No hill race(dirt now.)

Rootdog1 03-21-2007 01:10 PM

is it raining or did it rain

Rootdog1 03-21-2007 01:12 PM

baby race screws up the early pk4, but I think the race is a way to profit in a pk3. This wont make you rich, but it could pay for your day.

1)3,6,7,8
2)1,3
3)1,3,5,6
$36

1)7,8
2)1
3)1,3
4)1,3,8
$18

I am not sure it rained enough that I don't have to water my yard.Anita is up against a range of mountains, and they tend to get more rain than the other areas. It did rain.

Rootdog1 03-21-2007 01:16 PM

so, now that it is off the hill....do you single #7 Sunshine in the 7th? I like #3 as well, but not sure he will love the extra half furlong......

Rained enough that the dogs are digging in the soft dirt, and fkd up a clean shirt...........In the 7th,I thought the 7 and 3 might hurt each other's chances, and set it up for the 2 or 4.Seeing how O'neil is doing, maybe the 7 is a single.

Rootdog1 03-21-2007 01:29 PM

I thought the same thing, but just not sure the 4 is good enough no matter what the pace. The #2 does scare me....not sure what to make of him. Pletcher reject is training well enough to get Gomez.....but hasnt done much on the track

The other races are so difficult going to have to single probably......Sunshine got beat by a very very very good horse last time.

tap 03-21-2007 02:17 PM

Horse (Daytona) doesn't like dirt in the face.Gomez would have to get him outside of horses,or fall back and make an inside move.I don't trust the Ridge in there.GRYDER gets good run from the Special, and can hound him.

jman5581 03-21-2007 03:36 PM

what'd they finish in race 2?? it looked like 1 might've got nosed out???

jman5581 03-21-2007 03:42 PM

ahhhhhhh, YES!!! he held on... :p or, I mean, she.

Rootdog1 03-21-2007 04:57 PM

I stunk up the early ones boys.....gonna try to catch some prices in the late one

5)1,9,10
6)2,5,11
7)7
8)1,3,5,10
$36

Rootdog1 03-21-2007 05:20 PM

The 6th is gonna be one cluster mess........money to be made, but this one is tough.

Coach Pants 03-21-2007 05:22 PM

i'm thinking about going all in the 6th

PSH 03-21-2007 05:35 PM

Rootdog1 03-21-2007 05:45 PM

PSH 03-21-2007 05:46 PM

Looked like

a drunken sailor down the lane....

Coach Pants 03-21-2007 05:47 PM

O'Neill and Mullins are just better trainers. They work harder than the rest. ;)
