11/12 (AQU): Lloydobler back..

Lloydobler with a :49.15 half mile today on the Belmont main track as he increases the intensity of his training regimine towards a return. Was 18th of 58. Haven't heard specifics yet of the drill...

Kasept 09-26-2010 03:42 PM

Lloydobler had exited his work in great shape. In regards to more detail of Saturday's drill, Gary reported that the work itself was done easy, without urging, and was exactly what we wanted in terms of a second spin back from injury. All positive news in regards to getting Lloyd back as good or better than before the muscle strain...

He's your best horse. Good luck all.

Lloydobler went a half mile solo this morning in :49.4 on the Belmont Training Track, 6th of 33 at the distance. Saw him over the weekend and is doing great. Continues to target mid/late November or early December for his return.

Quick note on today and what's upcoming..

Junior Alvarado, well known to Chicago players and just having come to NY, worked Lloyd this morning and will ride him in his return. Alvarado liked the gelding a lot, and other than needing to ask him twice to change leads, said he felt really good under him. Lloydobler, 5/0-2-1 in starts this past winter and spring, will likely get one more light work or a blowout before entering during the first week (or so) of the Aqueduct meet.

Bring it on home, LD. Wish we could be there, but we'll be watching and rooting at one of the Colonial Downs OTB.

Cool running and stay safe.

Looks like a "late lunch" Friday! ;)

Many Others 11-12-2010 09:52 AM

yes, looking forward to "lunch" - real nice to have Lloyd back and running today, helps to ease the post-BC syndrome considering what was happening just about the same time last week - sounds like Junior is a good fit for him, good luck to DeeTee, safe racing and travels to all !

Patrick333 11-12-2010 12:14 PM

I hope he runs well and has a safe trip.
