Santa Anita - Thurs 3/15

early pk4

1)1,2,5,6 (toughest race in the pk4......)
2)4,7 (like the #4 here alot, good value and should go off 6-1 or better)
3)3,8
4)2,6,8 (miserable field here, looking for someone who can be up front)
$48

I like the 2 in the first as well. 2nd start, stretching out around two turns. The wraps in the first start and the works bother me a little and I am drawing a blank on the trainer (Rosales). Scuds- what say you about this conditioner?

Rootdog1 03-15-2007 01:40 PM

The #2 is by Point Given out of a Dixieland Band Mare.....should like the xtra distance. Trainer is sketch....he has only had 26 starters in the past year and only wins at 8%. This gelding had a poor start and ran on decent enough. The field is weak, and if he improves on the stretch out he will be right there.

Thanks Root. I agree with your analysis.

Wouldn't count on Rosales to wipe his own.

The horse you like in the 2nd race.......Cenicola thought he might win with her on 1/14. Took her a few starts, but she ran decently last time. This guy is due to get a win at the meet.Actually,an o.k. trainer.

My opinion? Well, lately I have been wrong.I think it is 'cuz it's been so damn hot out here.Either it is frying my brain,or drying the track out so much that cheap speed refuses to come back.Go with Root. He's more of the speed player. I have one horse I am waiting for (in the last race.) I touted her last time, and if I don't tout them again, then they often run like I wanted them to.

Rootdog1 03-15-2007 03:07 PM

who is it in the last scuds? I LOVE Parinaz in the last....maybe put with Example and Can Do Can Do....

MisterB 03-15-2007 03:09 PM

Scuds- Weather aside, I value what you have to say about trainers. More so when it comes to our west coasters. And yes Root is pretty sharp as well.
