So proud of Pinzaara. She's gone up in grade since that last win, so she should be finding it harder to compete with these better horses. But she just never lies down. She's amazing.
Castlzeberg... wow. I wasn't expecting that! I was sure they'd catch him. But he just kept going! I guess he could do that in the Derby too! He took four races to win his maiden - he finished second in the first three. But then he won a maiden race by six lengths and went straight into the Guineas... and won that too! It's possible he's just improving scarily quickly right now. |
I'm sure you've already seen this but incase you haven't check out the name of one of his new stablemates... (!!!).

Haha, that's crazy!
Latest NZ Derby order of entry: http://www.nzracing.co.nz/OnHorseFil...r%204-2-13.pdf Field is limited to 18. |
Does Michael Moroney have any other possible runners aside from Kidwelly (and is she nominated for the Oaks as well)?
|
He also has That's How We Roll - a maiden who's currently right at the bottom of the order of entry. So he's probably not a realistic chance to make it.
Yep, Kidwelly's in the Oaks too. :) |
Hey ed why on earth isn't Veyron running in the Waikato Sprint this weekend?
Mufhasa all the way (looks like a great field)! |
That's a good question! I'll try to find out.
Mufhasa's unlikely to run either, actually! He's probably going to Melbourne for the Orr Stakes. Pinzaara's going to try again in the last! |
Really looks to me like the girls are gonna dominate these two G1s tomorrow. Lady Kipling and Artistic in the International; Final Touch, Fleur de Lune, Xanadu and Guiseppina in the Sprint.

Best of luck to you and your girl!!!!! :) Quote:

On the King and Mr. Wallace who, from reading this, sounds like a decent guy.

Fix!
|
Fix was so brave! Amazing win.
I wasn't expecting that from Sangster. Whoa! We haven't seen anything that good from him since his Victoria Derby win more than a year ago. And Final Touch has left me speechless again. I'd hardly heard of her through her first 30 starts; now she's won three Group 1s in her last four starts and is making a big claim for HOTY. |
Finally watched Final Touch and wow... she is fantastic.
Have not yet seen Sangsters win but nearly fell over when I saw he'd won. What happened to your girl? She's okay, right? Not the right race? Mufhasa..... I so wanted him to win but not like he has anything left to prove. |
Hope everything's ok with Mufhasa - he'd normally fight back, but didn't really offer any resistance yesterday. Maybe it's time to start to think about retiring. :(
Pinzaara's fine. :) She had the outside gate here, and the trainer decided there's a better spot for her this Wednesday at Ellerslie. I can't get the day off work to go out there, unfortunately, but I'll be watching! |
Funny that it seems so strange to see "retiring" and Mufhasa in the same line.
Glad Pinzaara is okay and how exciting!!! Too bad you can't be there but hooray... hope she does it! |
Fix possible for Derby!
http://www.theinformant.co.nz/racing...cope-this-week Didn't expect that. |
Oh wow can't wait to see what they decide.
I finally got around to watching the very last replay from Sat.... A’Larose was really impressive!!! |
Oh, she really was! It looks like a great group of 2yo fillies this year - A'Larose, Ruud Awakening, Bounding (the only horse to beat Ruud Awakening), Recite...

|
Cool! Ooh, Celtic Chief is a sneaky chance in the Derby too. Good luck to him.
