Yup.

Wok good.

Really...how do we know?

They have to play out the game and have the vote, but the reps. don't want to win...it's pretty obvious.

What isn't ..is how do they gain here down the road? What is up in their evil little minds??

I will predict this....Biden will get into an argument with a great white and call him, among other things, a soup can belly.

Then the shark will eat him.

And I find it hilarious that the McCain campaign went out of their way to assure us that Bristol made the choice to have the child on her own.

On one hand, they're obviously trying to say that mom isn't coercing her to have it.

On the other hand, they're saying that if you're the vice presidential nominee's daughter, then you should get a choice about what to do when you're pregnant, but if you're just some average woman anywhere else in the country, they want to overturn Roe v. Wade cuz you're too dumb to make your own decision and you shouldn't get a choice.

It's so ****ing sick, it's almost circled all the way back around to being unbelievably amazing.

The problem with the 17 yo daughter being pregnant is that mom is so against sex education. Also, why compound the problem by getting married for the sake of the child? I guess they feel it's more acceptable if she's not an unwed mother. She's 5 months pregnant, supposedly McCain knew, but did they need this?

I think this might effectively muffle Biden if he makes
any attempt to display that she is unqualified. And Biden

Obama's extensive lack of experience in the nuances

The Republicans made the race closer.
If Romney was picked, call Obama Mr. President.

My unqualified take.

And I still think this will be one of the most interesting presidential
elections. The last few had me bored stiff until the voting actually
took place and the Florida mess.

this white female voter isn't happy with anyone running, again. i won't be any more encouraged to vote for mccain just because one of my 'sisters' got picked to be his vp.
i do find it interesting however that obama wants change, portrays himself as a man of change, and picks biden.
mccain has always been viewed as a maverick, he pulls his usuall maverick stuff and taps (ahem) a woman to be his running mate, and it's a gimmick. no, it's par for the course for mccain.
i think he could have done better. two years as governor imo isn't enough to show someones capabilities. i'd say usually that the VP selection usually doesn't mean much, but in mccains case it absolutely does due to his age.

Oh yeah, the husband had a DWI back in '84. Not that I care, I'm 45 yo and had my one DWI about the time. It was the day Lil E Tee won the Kentucky Derby.

yeah, that's a non issue imo. hell, that was over 20 years ago. and he's not the candidate, the daughter isn't either...

if the campaign knew, why weren't they in front of the story?

they should be the ones releasing the info with their spin. the fact they didn't should raise serious questions about the vetting process or the competence of a staff that let's this get to the media from a source outside the campaign.

Governor Palin’s] oldest girl is rumored to have actually been the one who had the last baby, the one with Down’s Syndrome. She was taken out of school the last 4 or 5 months of her mother’s pregnancy.

On March 5th, 2008 Alaska’s Republican Governor, Sarah Palin, announced to the media that she was 7 months pregnant with her 5th child. She is currently 44.

Palin’s daughter Bristol is 16 and attends an Anchorage high school. Students who have attended class with her report that she has been out of school for months, claiming a prolonged case of mono.

Palin does not appear pregnant in any recent photographs. The announcement came as quite a shock to people who had worked closely with her, and have been quoted as saying that she did not appear pregnant whatsoever during the prior 7 months.

LOL...You can't be serious. That would be the richest stuff ever made.

Mike 09-01-2008 02:13 PM

Circumstantial evidence is certainly there for the rumors that the already born baby(with Down's Syndrome) is actually the daughter's, too

Out of school 4-5 months with mono? Mom doesn't look pregnant, but Bristol does

Maybe that alcoholic father is to blame for these pregnancies

My head is spinning

This is the same daughter with the bun in the oven now? That would make this girl a pretty damn busy girl.

Ok, so this is completely crazy and I don't think it's even that plausible -- but I've been doing my fair share of reading today about all this. The absolute fringe conspiracy theorists can only possibly be right about the daughter also being Trig's mom if she mysteriously miscarries this baby before she ever shows any signs of being pregnant. Then they can say this whole current pregnancy was cooked up as a story to show that she couldn't possibly have been Trig's mother, and the miscarriage is the way out of not actually having to produce another child.

I don't buy it for a second, but you know the blogosphere is going to implode on itself if god forbid this girl doesn't carry her baby to term. Then it'll get ugly.

I hope this becomes a non-issue, even though there's quite obviously the sex ed conversation, and the conversation about how everyone's getting all righteous about leaving her alone....thing for two seconds if one of Obama's daughters was 17 and got pregnant right now. Case closed, your Limbaughs, Malkins, Coulters, Hannitys, all of them would have a field day with it, a black man with a pregnant teen daughter......the race would be over by morning.

Interesting how that works.

SCUDSBROTHER 09-01-2008 02:32 PM

They said this PALIN LADY had the amnio done early, and had a long time to deal with the fact that she was gunna have a down s kid. There has to be records of all that being done. I wonder why she didn't make it known she was pregnant until March though. Maybe they were considering aborting. Why did she keep quiet until 7 months pregnant? Any reason given for that?

Mike 09-01-2008 02:54 PM

On a serious note, apparently Down's Syndrome is more likely to occur in an older woman, like Sarah Palin. I doubt that the baby is the daughter's.

Late night comedians must be having a tough time choosing between the two party candidates now. This McCain-Palin ticket could provide us with immense entertainment.

Oops! I forgot, we're not supposed to be making "sport" of this news

This is the perfect day for the Repubs to announce this pregnancy as the networks won't let go of the Hurricane Gustav story
