1RBI(on a sac fly,) no extra-base hits...8 men LOB(5 in one game)....So, he walked n' singled a lot, but somehow didn't get those singles with men in scoring position. In other words, he wasn't a difference maker in the post. For 20 mil, he needs to drive in runs in the post. |

No extra-base hits. No hits with men in scoring position. O.K., there were 8 men on base that would most likely have all come in with a double, or a home run. If you want to see walks n' singles in the post(when men aren't in scoring position,) then wait until stick figure Pierre is at bat. |

maybe so chuck , but as far as i am concerned , until he proves it to me in the playoffs in the big spot , winning a game , being a difference maker , he still has ??? reggie jackson was not a ??? , he was proven in oak , and was signed as a free agent at at high number - he performed in Oct dave winfield - complete opposite - he had never been there , and became the 1st $10mm dollar man in basball , he wnet 1-22 in his only Yankeee WS appearance |

but you would agree when he signed the big $$$$ in the prime of his career in NY he was a difference maker - when the big light was on , he shined the most did the most , tom lasorda still gets sick to his stomach when they talk about game 6 of the 77 world series When he went to NY he was already a proven winner in oak on those powerful teams . Tex has a brief . brief postseason history - we don't know what he is going to do in the spotlight , under the gun , in these big spots - to pay him lottery $$$ and to not know how he is going to perform when the gun goes off in oct is a dicey proposition (if they even make it to oct) One ex-yankee who put up big numbers during the regualr season in SD and NY - got his chance 1x as the $10mm man - well we all know that he went down in yankee lore as Mr May - he didn't get it done when he signed for the big $$$$ - then he went to Toronto later in his career , with the pressure off , not the key guy and did it , got the key hit/s when they needed it , it's a funny game chuck |

Tex was a rare yankee signing, a top player reaching his prime, not past it. |

What do they have in the minors for potential help this year after the all star break. It is so weird not to hear about some Jabba clone who will be up with the big club by the fourth of July. George spent cash in the old days on the free agent types but their farm system seemed to be very solid in past years......are they holding their usual young and mighty at AA and AAA still? |

Gales, whats going on with your team?
Thats 2 series they are heavily favored to win, especially against the Nats. They gave the Sox 2 games this week. What a gift. All 4 games were close losses too, which has to be even more frustrating. |
