Nothing Kev... I have checked now and again. Nada. Sorry.

Since I'm a moron when it comes to finding breeding info, that kinda stuff, perhaps someone could see if she became a mom (?).

Here's hoping.

She hasn't been updated on Pedigree Query in quite a while and she is not on there as having any progeny either.

Gonna send Jeff Bonde an email and see if I might get a response.

Headache and Quarter Moon, Hollywood R6 yesterday...

my miss storm cat 01-01-2010 06:30 PM

I heard, on another forum, that Headache didn't make it but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere else so I haven't added him to the angels list yet.

He was a cool horse.

I hope it's incorrect information although I think it's probably accurate because of how bad it apparently looked. Poor guy.

Bilo pulled up, back with Jones
Jay Privman

A little more than 13 months ago, Bilo won the Grade 1 Triple Bend Handicap. He followed that up with a victory in the California Cup Sprint Handicap, an emotional win for trainer Marty Jones, since it occurred just days after the passing of Bilo's owner and breeder, Ed Nahem.

Bilo, now 8, was subsequently sold to owners Scott Anastasi and Dan Capen and transferred to Mike Mitchell, but his form has gone south. After two poor tries in stakes races, he was dropped into a $62,500 claimer here on Aug. 2, and beat one horse. Then on Sunday, when plummeting to the $25,000 claiming level in a 6 1/2-furlong race, Bilo got about 50 yards out of the gate before jockey Jose Valdivia Jr. began to pull him up.

"He felt a little gimpy," Valdivia said Monday. "I hope he's okay."

There were no claims in for Bilo, a gelding, but he's changing barns. Mitchell on Monday gave the horse back to Jones.

"He hasn't run well for me, and Marty loves that old horse," Mitchell said. "I didn't think there was any way we were going to lose him on Sunday. I just wanted to get him in an easier spot and get him eligible for the starter-allowance race on Cal Cup Day. I thought I had him ready to go. I still think he's got some game left.

"The owners told Marty to train him, and if he thinks he should be retired, to retire him. If he wants to run him, he can run him. I've known Marty a long time. His father, Gary, is my best friend. I know Marty loves that horse. If he wants to retire him, I know he'll find him a nice home."

Bilo has won 7 of 19 starts and $524,436.

I don't have pp's for this race...

Anyone know how many times he's run since this post? I'm shocked to see him here.

Indian Charlie 01-07-2010 02:57 PM

He has 22 lifetime starts now, so I guess three times.

All three starts he ran second. For 10k, 16k then 12.5k.

Thanks.

Wow... I'm just speechless to see him run at this level. Had no idea about these last few races.

Hope he wins and that he gets a nice home (if he's claimed) and that whatever is in his best interest happens.

I'm still a fan. Thanks for the info.

Bilo update... he was scratched.

Leo, at Aqueduct today.

I can remember his pre-Godolphin days... he was 2nd to Horatio Nelson once. He had so much potential...

Hope he's alright.

I am sorry to say that Leo apparently broke sesamoids and was quickly and humanely attended to ...

Did not make it ...

chucklestheclown 01-10-2010 11:10 PM

Sorry.

letswastemoney 01-11-2010 12:02 AM

Heyy. Is Discontent okay? He sort of knocked me out of SA Showvivor, but as long as he didn't break anything with that bad step.

I'll add him to the angels list. :(

Put me out, too. Hope I haven't killed another horse by picking it in a contest. (For three years straight, at least one of my Road to the Roses stable bit the dust.)

Pedigree Ann 01-11-2010 07:06 PM

Bummer. Didn't read to the end before posting.
