Maybe I was wrong on a few of the reasons. Hopefully they wont make it to a bowl game again and get thier @sses handed to them again. Seems like that has been the traditional way of thier season ending. Along with losing to USC. When was the last time they won a bowl game worth a crap? Seems like that was years and years ago. |

1993 cotton bowl is the last bowl game nd has won. |

1993 was the last time that Notre Dame won a bowl game worth a crap? I wasnt even close to retirement from the Navy. My how time flies.

Sooooo was I supposed to stop rooting for them? A lot of people should just spend more time and energy supporting their own team rather than knocking people for the teams they like. It's actually kind of hilarious to see people get nuts going off on it. |

Going nuts? Hmm isn't this a free forum or not? I do support my teams: Pitt, Penn State, Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. And the Naval Acadamy in football, im partial to them since I retired after being in the Navy for 20 years.:D |

i think other teams and fans resent notre dame because they get a lot of air time--but that's because they produce the ratings...right or wrong, it's all about money in the end. also why notre dame gets a bowl game every year, deserved or not.
oh, and GO PENN STATE!! |

I will 2nd your statement, especially the GO PENN STATE!! |

all the respect in the world for joe paterno. in an age of what have you done for me lately, and chasing the almighty dollar, he showed that he admired that program as much as they did him--and showed a loyalty not seen much these days. he was chased after by many college and pro teams over the years, but stuck with the college--so often people say they want a 'new challenge', but what about the challenge of making a top program, and then keeping it at the top thru thick and thin, and staying the course in the lean years? i hope he has great success this year, i know that there aren't many paterno years left, so i hope he has a great time.

I'll wade back in since the last time I was involved in this post was pg 4 Sat night..Irish can support whoever he wants..but he invites criticism, and should take it, when he posts that "You wish you could be ND"... Come on.. Canon..Michigan beats ND by at least 14 |

I miss him dearly. I remember when we both picked OU to crush USC one year, and the opposite happened, he did not post for a few weeks. And I came on and got hammered by everyone in California, which I deserved. |
