Wow Cannon, "least respected" . . . you're a little strong aren't you? Where I live, most of them have degrees in Metoerological Science, and they don't get too much of it wrong any more.

I also agree with Sent2Stud. It's the same twisted logic you see from Stewards concerning suspensions. Every time a horse is disqualified in a questionable decision the stewards seem to give the rider days ( which is not always necessary ) as if to justify their mediocre decision.
The stretch fouls while ignoring the rest of the race is preposterous. It would be like the NBA doing away with backcourt fouls. |

Well, with the slight exception of posts 85, 87, 88, 89, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 99, 100, 102, 103, 107, 111. Other than that, yes, you are right. Those pages were full of just foolishness that had nothing to do with the discussion. *Cue sirens for the on-topic popo* |
How do we know the stewards didn't take into consideration facts unknown to the public when handing out the equal suspensions?

Looks like I may be searching for another trainer, if and when I buy a horse.
I don't think this one cares for me one iota. And knowing he's good. Bummer. Quote:

I'm a little late to chime in on this thread, but I thought that Coa displayed a questionable move on Saturday as well. I believe it was the 4th race...he ended up winning, but pinched the 2nd place horse tight on the rail in deep stretch, causing him to check (Ponce aboard). I remember thinking it was unnecessary at the time.
