Denver has to be the best place to be a young, single (or married I guess), successful pro athlete, if temptation is your game plan. I wish I were single at least three times a day. :)

New York readies for "Timsanity"

Yeah, but Jax and Denver don't have Antonio Cromartie.

That might be the best piece of video ever recorded.

Agreed but all our teams homes are right downtown and we rep all major sports, most of them are just mediocre but still. Plenty of sundress weather all year round!!!

Michael Bush signs a deal with the Bears. Good signing in my opinion, can spell Fortay and step in if Matt goes down.

tebow fallout:

Tim Tebow's arrival in New York already has upset one New York Jets quarterback -- Drew Stanton.

The veteran backup, who signed a one-year, $1.25 million contract last Friday to be the No. 2 quarterback, has asked to be traded or released, a league source confirmed to ESPN Insider Adam Schefter.

Stanton is said to be unhappy because he was promised the No. 2 job and turned down more lucrative opportunities with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs to play for the Jets. He received a $500,000 signing bonus, but he could have a hard time finding a new team because the backup jobs are filling up.

Did the Jets trade McElroy? (to Green Bay?)

Not thinking that Peyton is as durable as the strongest human ever to play QB (whether you think he is one or not)?

No that they went after Manning because they were afraid Tebow would get hurt. Almost as ridiculous as people thinking that Lasix is why horseracing in 2012 sucks.

Elway wanted no part of Tebow from day one. First he threw him to the wolves thinking that he was going to fail so they could draft their franchise QB (Luck). It backfired yet during the entire run they NEVER came out and said Tebow was the guy going forward always some lame "will see" answer. Manning was his chance to jettison Tebow. Elway played that perfectly

There was never going to be enough room in Denver for Tebow and Elway. Elway considers this his town (rightly so to a point) and I think they were surprised how the experiment blew up in their faces and the Manning thing was the only way out really. It did indeed go as well as he could have hoped...
So far.

Its not ego with Elway he just felt that Tim Tebow was not a QB that was going to win a Super Bowl. I agree.

This went perfectly. TEbow with the Jets will be far more entertaining than what we saw last year. I haven't said much about Sanchez, but him playing in two AFC championship games his first two years is far more than whatever Tebow accomplished his first two. He has struggled mightily at times too. This is gonna get ugly real quick is my opinion. Having Tebow backing you up is a bit different than 70 year old Mark Brunell. Rex Ryan, two young qb's who struggle massively at various points in their career but still do good things as well...New York...what could possibly go wrong??

You aren't seriously comparing what Sanchez was handed compared to the team Tebow was given are you?

Broncos have a stout D and IMO that was the major reason they went on their run.

MaTH716 03-28-2012 10:27 AM

Brandon Jacobs to the 49ers.

Same D that was 1-4 against some pretty weak competition though. I agree they improved and certainly made the difference when their backs were to the wall. But the Broncos were awful the prior year and expected to be awful again. The Jets were never considered anything other than second best in that division, and the favorite for the Superbowl, just ask Rex...
