She also deserves (and gets) credit for winning races on three different types of synthetic surfaces and dirt. A lot of good horses can't do that, and she can.

Okay fine. She's a really good horse. Nobody really disputes that.

It is only when people start saying she is one of the best ever that her supposed "detractors" rightfully begin to raise points against her.
There is a big range between "blows" and "one of the best ever." In my opinion, she fits somewhere in that range.

Hey I agree with you she is a very good horse. I never said she was the greatest ever. His post basically said she is comparable to a AAA baseball player. She is much better than that.

What exactly there genius is inaccurate about what I said? Her biggest adversity she's ever faced is having Mike Smith on her back, and with each "scintillating" win, Moss and Sherriffs have had the opportunity to run her in bigger and better races and each time they have kept her at the lower levels of racing rather than stepping out of the box and challenging her and gulp, facing some males...

I never said that she is a AAA baseball player..I compared her to the plight of a guy who is always better than a AAA player but who never gets an extended shot in the majors to show how good he is or can be. She's proven time and time again obviously she's deserving of taking on bigger and better things but she never gets a chance because of her cowardly connections.

Well lets drop it. Good luck on any bets you make today! Can't wait to see if Twirling Candy is the real deal

She's also a fantastic dancer. I can't wait to see her strut her stuff in the paddock. Hopefully I can hold back the tears this time.

That's a terrible thing to say about a horse.

Calling her just a "fantastic" dancer seems to leave open the possibility that you think some other horse might actually be a better dancer.

That's ridiculous. Please desist in this obvious smear campaign against her.

She is obviously the greatest four-legged dancer in the history of earth, and any suggestion otherwise is a disgrace to the sport.

Dahoss 10-02-2010 01:10 PM

Point taken, I apologize. Maybe after she retires they'll ask her to be on Dancing With the Stars.

Smooth Operator 10-02-2010 01:17 PM

If the big mare can pull off these next two, some of you guys might as well grab a couple bananas and start swinging in the trees...

Maybe after she retires, you'll fall head first into a pile of poop and need a number or a piece of paper to tell you what it is.

No, she only runs to her competition's level.

When they make the movie of her career, Johnny Knoxville should be tapped to play Zenyatta.

Why isn't she in the Goodwood today? Oh that's right...god forbid she has more than one competitive race per year.

Viva Zenyatta...

because she doesn't need to prove her greatness, we should all just assume it. the win streak is the most important thing. one need only look at her races this year to see what they wanted more than anything. not to prove greatness, not to take on the best. it was to tie and maybe pass the glorous pepper's pride for the record.
