I'll give you credit for tenacity----even doorknobs know when they're beat.

If Joe Smith has 3 more games like this...
And Rondo sits out and West does not
have to work bringing the ball up
the floor a lot of good things will happen.

I look for Rivers to reinsert Rondo to reek
havoc and forget about his offensive mistakes...

for a little while.

Does the box score mention the lob passes to
Lebron saving turnovers? Is there a category for
that?

You are too kind.

To yourself.

I am trying to stay above the 33% level posting ratio

The well known Pillgarden/Mortonsus stat that should
be in the boxscore.

Mortimer 05-10-2008 10:29 PM

"The D was the key."
=====

Oh ya....the Cavs held the Celts to about the average of the first 2 games.....but scored almost 35 above their average for the first 2.

I can't debate with headless horsemen...see ya latah.

Thats why you watch the game and dont rely
on stats only. That is the best defensive game
Cleveland has had in the series. I dont care about
the junk points. There is a diff. between playing
good D and the other team just shooting poorly.

The Cavs did a much better job on Cassell, on almost
every other player. Garnett will always get his on a team
that does not rely solely on his offense.

Their offense was much better.
They had an operational PG as I said.
Pray for Cassell again. And Joe Smith
playing way over his head.

(You know you've got them when they go to your post total.)

;)

The guy is unbelievable....

Beyond unbelievable.

I don't care about
the junk points.

I don't either....73 is pretty junky--I like 108 better...much better.

Oh...tonight the Celts 40% was not the same as their other 2 40%ers.....what's the word for beyond unbelieveable???

Somehow I was more impressed with our offense for this 3rd game.

Lost in minutia.

^^^ Minutia and schizophrenia---all in one post.Only him.

Mortimer 05-11-2008 11:05 AM

I wish I could be wrong----just once.

:(

Mortimer 05-11-2008 12:19 PM

Again...not to be a poopie....but can you read what this writer was trying to say after yesterdays game?

This was, in the truest sense, a team victory. Five double-figure scorers. Everybody in volved in the big trade playing well. "LeBron didn't shoot well in Boston, but he made some basketball plays then," Boston coach Doc Rivers said. "He did both tonight."

Not really. James has yet to have a Zorro moment, when he slashes the defense to tatters. But no one ever wrote a book about the one musketeer, anyway

What about this writers thoughts after the 2nd game?

Brown didn't say it,but when Boston double-teams James as he brings the ball past half-court, James can make a quick pass to a teammate, then cut hard to the basket to receive a return pass. The Cavs also can have someone else (West) bring up the ball and have James run some curl plays around picks near the basket to catch passes in position to score rather than the dribble . . . dribble . . . stand and dribble that seemed to stall the offense.

:)

Could TheGardenThatDoesn'tGrow and MainCourse be the same person?

Did PG get his Mom a Stevie Hawking book for a MD present today?

Mortimer 05-11-2008 01:53 PM

I am a VERY smart man.

Yes I am !

Mortimer 05-11-2008 03:38 PM

I say to all ye boneheads...if the Cavs keep playing with this new found ,miracle offense ( and also beat Boston in the 5th game..which I think they will..if they do keep it)...they will win this series.

This ---even if Mr. RimClanger keeps making that sweet music.

Mortimer 05-11-2008 03:41 PM

And now ..please say.....Soap.

TheSpyder 05-11-2008 04:32 PM

soup

Mortimer 05-11-2008 06:56 PM

Yet another post I should not have posted.

Mortimer 05-11-2008 09:37 PM

I now issue a shall-onge to the Gardener.

If the Cavaliers keep playing a NonJamesLetMeFucl<AroundWithTheBall type offense ( as they did last night)...they will win. They will not win the series if they go back to the 1st and 2nd games "offense."

So......if I am wrong....I will leave and not return...ever. If I am right...The Gardener shall leave and not return...ever.

Now this is pretty simple stuff---it requires no revelation of anyones address nor place of work....no third parties need be involved ....and no money amount needs haggling.

So....Mr. BigShot........do ya feel lucky?

Mortimer 05-11-2008 09:38 PM

Well??

Do ya?

Punk?

I will need the exact Pillgardn/Mortunsus
ratio as a %, as of this post.

Mortimer 05-11-2008 10:09 PM

I should have known I would not get a simple yes or no.

So....yes or no?

So....yes or no?

How can I give you a yes or no when we
are rooting for the same team ya buffo toad?
And what is so simple about determing what
type of offense they are playing. I could go
on with this milky bet.

And finally, what in God's name is to keep you off this board?
Oh its a gentlemens bet: I shall leave and come back as
Puffin Lauderclauken.

And finally after finally, why did you not answer
my first attempt for you to give me 100 dollars
since you said the Cavs could not win when I said
they could
? Now you switch like the tides when things
start looking good...

And in conclusion,
I want a pillgardn/mortunsus ratio as of THIS posting.
