Atlanta has a short yardage specialist take the carries down by the goal line. So the rushing TD stat is decieving...most QB's score them on runs of less than one yard -- and Vick isn't a big, tall, guy like a Duante Cullpepper who is a lock to pick up a yard by taking the snap and going forward.

He's most dangerous the further away he is from the goal-line -- when the defense is most spread out.

Four fumbles is nothing for a QB who runs as often as he does.

He's the only QB in NFL history to rush for a thousand yards in a game.

He's an a-hole and was a fairly overrated player -- but he's without question the most dangerous open field runner to ever play the qb position. By far.

In my opinion, with an obvious exception to Randy Moss, he was the most talented college football player I'd ever seen, and while Va Tech lost the national title game -- he put on a show against a very tough FSU defense.

That is 4 fumbles while running the ball, not counting the ones in the pocket. It is a lot. He may be a great openfield runner but that does not make him a good QB.

Scav 08-25-2007 09:13 PM

He sucked as a QB. He was just popular because he was thug and fast as hell in Madden.

In college, that and his quick release and strong arm, made him a GREAT qb.

Vick is a horrible nfl qb,though.

The Indomitable DrugS 08-25-2007 09:31 PM

He's a very bad person Mortimer - If I only had more free time I'd write to him in jail about how lovely the day is and how nice it is to have my freedom - all while hoping he is sharing a cell with a deviant who wears eye-liner like your good pal Dispencer.

Danzig 08-25-2007 09:42 PM

Yeah, that sounds like the way it should be. I'd love to see the NFL rep that would get to explain to the families of those four HUMANS killed by Reggie Rogers and Leonard Little why the value of the dogs' lives mean more than their loved one's did and the penalty should be stiffer.

I agree... I also had a pit bull. Unfortunately, if they are enabled to fight and taught to kill, you can't put them in a home. It's way too risky and dangerous. It's just sad...

"Through this situation I've found Jesus,"

Vick actually said this today sounding like he was reading a prepared statement like in one of those hostage videos.

I hope he knows that the good Lord is not into dog fighting.
