What's that? The beauty of nature before you blow it away with a shotgun?

guys really....you trying to talk about what it must like to hunt would be like me trying to say what it's like to be a man.

i'm just not getting comments like above, when you said about blowing away with a shotgun. all meat that is eaten, was once alive and then was killed. i mean, you know that the meat you eat didn't come from animals that died of old age or natural causes, right?
if it isn't your thing, or you don't get it, that's fine. no one says you have to go and provide some of your food yourself.
but i don't think that just because it isn't your thing, that others who choose differently should be mocked or scorned for it.

well...come to think of it, i guess it's human nature to mock things we don't understand or can relate to. we all do it to some degree.
i don't understand why some women try to stuff themselves into clothing three sizes too small. and then they have this fat bulge thing going on around their middle-looks like they have a swim ring on under their shirt or something.
and i most certainly mock them for it.

at any rate, not sure if this thread is what has kept you coming back more regularly ateam, but glad you're around more-believe it or not!

I agree, Deb. I'd be willing to bet that most animals hunted and killed in the wild suffer less than animals slaughtered in a slaughterhouse.

For the love of Christ. I'm talking about sport hunting.

I'm not mocking it. I'm saying it's morally disgusting. I haven't heard any good arguments otherwise, and excusing needless animal slaughter by simply saying "You can't relate" or "You don't understand" is a total cop-out.

Thanks for the kind words though Zieg.

I agree with Ateam, we are talking about sport hunting...period. As far as not understanding because we don't do it...that's a pretty big cop out, I have never been a serial killer so it's true I can't look at what they do through the eyes of one but that doesn't stop me from seeing that it's evil to kill!
