LOL, you can already tell these crooked rats aren't going to call a foul on the Lakers all night. You'd think Stern would try to make things looks legitimate after his press conference.

ateamstupid 06-12-2008 08:36 PM

FT's 15-2 in favor of the Lakers. That's the only way you can get bitch made players like Gasol points.

Still not expecting to see any Celtics doing this tonight:

Lakers are outplaying them plain and simple, Celtics can't handle Odom tonight!

LMAO. Refs are a factor when Colonel Sanders gets sand in his vagina, but when they refuse to call a defensive foul on L.A., you ignore it. Carry on.

As for Odom, enjoy it while it lasts. His soft ass will disappear again in Game 5.

Coach Pants 06-12-2008 09:01 PM

It's kind of embarrassing to complain about fouls when Ariza is working all 5 Celtics on the floor.

Scav 06-12-2008 09:05 PM

It is amazing some of the douchebags that sit courtside

It wasn't embarrassing to complain about fouls after Game 2. All I'm saying is homeboy bitches day and night, then when his team gets the calls, he wants to wax Lamar Odom's balls and ignore the refs.

I'm not really trying to complain anyway, they've gotten outplayed. I just find the Laker fan's act funny.

Scav 06-12-2008 09:11 PM

Ray Allen might be the streakiest NBA player of all time. Seriously, bad last couple of shots.....

Not all of us do. Irish is just a typical tip-topper. Notre Dame football, 49ers, Lakers. It's hilarious.

When a team gets outplayed that badly
it is time to sit down and shutup.
They whupped the Spurs.
Simple.

They could've won the game if he didn't blow it.

What about Phil not fouling, what about..., what about...

The Lakers were the better team.

The two teams we are watching right now are
the best two teams in the league. Its all good.

Even though the best this year is not very good.
Down year for the NBA and the horses.

All I know is if the Celtics don't win the next game they are in big trouble!!

That reverse layup off the dribble in the last minute will be one of the most memorable plays in NBA final history!!

Russell just peed his diapers...

Huh? If they don't win Game 5, they come back home with two chances to win the title on their home court. That's big trouble?

He completely dissapeared, and the white guys on the Lakers play the softest game of basketball I've ever seen.

I still can't believe this sh1t, that was embarrassing as a Lakers fan. I hope Paul Pierce gets his for running his trap so much at the end.

Earlier in the thread I was aghast to read Laker fans mouthing off after a game 1 Celts win which was the 3rd time they had beaten LA and all I read here was about how the Celtics are in trouble if they lose Game 2. A bit of a disrespectful comment don't you think.

Defense wins rings and the Celts have the best "D" plain and simple

are you going to fill me in on what you are talking about? Is there something wrong with my selection of teams?

SCUDSBROTHER 06-12-2008 11:49 PM

You really should take the photo down. That's as big of a choke as I have ever seen. Brick city....Boston's a good team, and it's no disgrace to lose the series to them, but this game was a disgrace. You're gunna hear " great defense" to cover up all the bricks they threw up. Look at all the bricks in just the last minute of the game. That was a worse choke than Buckner. Could build a backyard B.B.Q. from the 2nd half bricks alone.

ateamstupid 06-13-2008 01:17 AM

Pretty emblematic of what Gasol's been up to in the Finals. Looking like he's going to cry and flailing weakly at some shots.

You need to adopt my strategy which is to fall asleep on the couch in the first half, and then wake up with 7 min. left in the game.

Seriously though it's over. The Celtics never give up on a game. If the Lakers were down that many they would have folded. The fat lady was in the building last night.

i've only seen the highlights of any of the games but the lakers need more than Big Game James. kobe is still a crybaby and the rest of that team has NO heart!

pgardn 06-13-2008 10:31 AM

Lakers were dead tired by the middle of
the 4th. When Ray Allen went left around
Sasha V. late, he could not even move his feet.

Same with Kobe on Pierce. He fouled Pierce
at an important time because he was dead
tired, he could not move his feet.
Kobe has to work so hard. He is the
major penetrator/playmaker and has to play
on Pierce virtually
alone. Kobe is essentially still a PG.

The Celtics are playing much better help
Defense. Thats why Allen and Pierce played
big minutes and were still fresh.

No legs, no D.

And the Celtics are just more physical,
it is wearing on the Lakers late.

My take.
Lets see how the Lakers get the game
moving. They have got to take advantage
of their mobility, cause they are not going
to out wrestle the Celtics.

Coach Pants 06-13-2008 10:45 AM

The bad news continues as Bill Plaschke reports Kobe left the court with 3 seconds left.

The guy is unbelievable.

What? You really think they are gunna get back up and try for a shot to extend the series to Boston? Why? If they had any champion in them, then they would have made shots in the late 3rd-4th quarter of this one. The only thing that could get their nuts back on is to win 3 in a row, and they can't do it in Boston. Just let it end. The more disgrace, the better chance they make changes to get more physical, but that isn't what beat them last night. What you saw, when the chips were down, was a team in green making shots, and the team in gold putting up brick after brick. In the 3rd quarter, Gasol missed the easiest of shots, and that was the pivotal shot of the game. The Celtics had made 2 runs at them already, and the Lakers had answered them. Honestly, I think they would have answered them a 3rd time if Gasol had just made that shot. The reason I say that is because the Celts fuel comes directly from missed shots by the opponent. You can call it what you want, but I think you take the responsibility off players like Gasol if you say that bucket he missed in the 3rd was because of defense. They just gagged on easy shots, and then they gagged on tougher shots. The Celts deserve credit for keeping the pressure on them, but the fact is the Lakers couldn't make shots. You're on your own court with a 6-10 point dwindling lead. You need to make a 3 pointer, or a couple outside shots (to match an opponent's bid .) They didn't do it. In game 2, the Celts made some shots (late) to hold off the same late bid. I don't think from a Championship standpoint it makes a difference (I don't think they were ever gunna win a game in Boston,) but this bunch has had their poor clutch shooting exposed. They made so much in the 1st half (when piling on,) and made nothing when the chips were down. It's a mistake to right this off as inexperience,or Boston defense. You can use those for reasons why the series is won, but this particular game was lost because of guys gagging on shots.
