Wouldn't a good horseman and sharp claimer be such without "tactics?"

Yes, and possibly. Doesn't mean I have to perscribe to it though.

Well at least his % is the same at all jurisdictions that he races in, pretty much.
Unlike some unnamed folks who miraculously go to certain racing jurisdictions and go on fire with the same horses they couldnt win at other jurisdictions with.;)

I still like Eddie barker in a straight boxing match.

I think it was a couple of years ago that Eddie and Rick "had words", LOL.

I only saw the aftermath.

It would be like name dropping the one and only, the legendary, the greatest race track hustler of all time, "Black Joe".

Now, how many "Black Joe" stories are going to be told? LOL. Where is the over/under on that, LOL.

Eric

Yeah, that was an inside joke where apparently you were the only one who got it. I wasn't name dropping, lol, I just thought others might have known about it.

I have so many I wouldn't know where to begin.
But the greatest has to be the time I'm leaving the track at saratoga and walking out the gate into the parking lot on the Union Ave side. Gino Stevens come by in his big ole car, and Black Joe waves at him and Gino stops to get in the car. So out they drive, Black Joe with a beer can in his hand, and Gino driving. A bunch of owners and people are watching, and one guy says "Now thats got to be the greatest Daily Double in history, Gino and Black Joe!!" LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree about Quick Little Miss that she'll get some checks, and that the track on BC day was nonsense, but you have to be honest, that time was pretty slow.

Joey,she is o.k. (timewise.) If she was slow,then she would have finished a dull 7th in the Grade 1 today.She ran about a 142'4 today.She isn't a superstar,but she is a hunter.
