and the guy will probably go in a nursing home in his dotage, and medicaid will pay for it.
but the govt shouldn't be in health care, according to him.

This guy is an example of why the government should not be involved in healthcare or childcare.

If we are to believe the story, here's a 'software designer' who makes under $9,500 dollars a year, ($95 dollars or 1% of all wages penalty) with 10 children and a wife. That comes to 182/week or $4.50 hour.

Why on earth would it be in the best interest of the country to force this man (he doesn't realize it but his insurance would be virtually free) into a policy that would offer any preventative care or for that matter even diagnostic testing, paid for by the hardworking, responsible taxpayer. The sooner he dies the better off the country.

Had this guy been financially responsible for the first child, or even the first few children on his own rather than receiving government support (actually tax-payer support) would he have ceased and desisted from having any more poorly bred offspring after the first few crops?

By rewarding poor judgment/decisions we tax good judgment/decisions. Kind of backwards dontcha think?

BTW something stinks about this story IMO.

Not quite, just allowing nature to take its course.

It's illegal here to interfere with an injured deer. What damage is an injured deer going to do compared to the damage done by this guy's sperm?

He's so financially astute he can't even figure out he could double his salary by switching careers from program designer to Wal-Mart greeter.

Meanwhile the responsible taxpayer is expected to pick up the slack in yet more taxes and inflated healthcare costs, even if it's at the expense of providing a tutor, or in Obamaspeak pizza night, for his/her own kids.

No representation without taxation would be an ideal first step.

Unfortunately, I am in Rep. Yoho's district. He hates government, but couldn't wait to get into it, like the rest of the tea party crowd. He may, incidentally, be the only horse doctor in the legislature, but is certainly not the only horse's ass there.

His job would pay 6 figures in the Northeast and probably 3 times what he is making in Bangalore. You are right something is not right with that story.

And likewise I hope everyone realizes we purposely spent billions destroying running vehicles because they used too much gas. :zz:

Needlessly increasing the value of used vehicles for those who purchase used vehicles. This was considered a good idea/program and we've been downhill ever since.

Now they have gone too far:mad:...These idiots in Wash need a wake up call. Hold their pay and benefits..

i read this morning about more things that have stopped being processed because of the shutdown, including pay to next of kin of lost military members.
i read last week about the widow of a firefighter, who has had all benefits halted since the shutdown. she gave birth right after losing her husband. she's getting by on donations, etc.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a Sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. ...Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that 'the buck stops here'. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and Grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better." Barack Obama March, 2006

So tired of both sides. Just default already.

I think it would be educational especially to seniors demonstrating America is out of cash and is unable to even survive month-to-month. We need a budget that resembles the money taken in. Actually we need a budget lower than what we're taking in in order to make a dent on the debt. We're spending like a crack whore with a stolen credit card. Without addressing the budget, there's no sense borrowing more money.

Obama not wanting to deal is similar to a trophy wife wanting her credit card back before she discussed any cutting back. Give them the money and neither is going to cut a thing.

We can't default so a 30-day supply of cash should be approved and revisited every 30 days until we get to a balanced budget.

It seems that you have anointed Cash for Clunkers as Ground Zero for all that is wrong financially with this country. Get over it as it pales in comparison to the 2 unfunded wars by a wide margin. Cash for Clunkers is just another example of politicians catering to a special interest group. The program sucked for sure but the whole process of government catering to the special interests to the detriment of all of us is really the problem. Your need to place blame on one party when BOTH parties are equally culpable shows that you are locked in some fantasy world of good vs evil when the reality of the situation is that it is EVIL vs EVIL. Bloods vs Crips.
