What are you talking about? And how have I insulted you?

And what in the hell is "hurricane run great?"

Is he all of a sudden one of the greatest too?

shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as bellamy road, especially the latter

Candy Ride not in the same breath as Bellamy Road? Are you kidding me?

6 for 6 lifetime, 3 on turf and 3 on dirt. Record mile in Argentina in 1:32 flat, triple G1 winner.

In your opinion, that doesn't stack up to winning the Wood and the Cradle?

And no, I haven't ever cared what your opinion of Flower Alley is/was.

Nor do I care what anyone's opinion is on him. Why would I?

No, you said "Hurricane Run Great." As if it were some sort of standard now set.

Maybe I mis-understood you. I also think Hurricane Run is really good and exciting to watch.

I hope he continues winning.

Scurlogue Champ 09-07-2006 02:11 AM

So, are you saying that both Flower Alley and Bellamy Road are/were "great."

I am confused.

If that is your opinion, then rock and roll. I just am having trouble deciphering your posts.

As far as the comment concerning Pleasant Tap, then can't he be considered great also off of one big effort in a G1. Are you biased against him or something?

It seems that is all it takes these days, one Grade I win and the crown is in place.

Add him to the long list of horses who would surely have won the Derby minus (insert excuse here.)

There is at least one every year.

Bluegrass Cat would have surely won the Derby if Barbaro would have bolted to the rail and sat down to have a smoke.

And that darned Afleet Alex would have surely taken home roses if it weren't for that damned Jeremy Rose taking him down to the rail and keeping him too close.

Does anyone think Sis City was great?

She won like a damn machine by huge margins more than once on her Oaks preps.

Really, does anyone think she will go down as "one of the great ones?"

So if that is the one, how would that be offensive to you personally.

My feelings on Bellamy Road and/or Flower Alley have nothing to do with you personally.

And the post was obviously a joke if you didn't catch that.

You can't honestly think that I consider Pleasant Tap and Second of June as demi-gods?

It was a mockery of the quick proclamations of greatness that have been floating around here for a while.

Haha, I stand corrected.

It was Premium Tap.

Pleasant Tap was pretty good in his own right.
