I've seen your comments about St. Trinians and they are no surprise, funny that only works one way when your horse is discussed. When it comes to anything to do with Zenyatta barring her beating Quality Road while carrying 129 and running a 115-ish beyer, you guys just may concede she is not just the luckiest horse on earth.

BTW How much weight did the Rail Trip carry in the Californian..let me help you 118, how much weight did Zenyatta carry in the Vanity 129, I'll do the math for you guys also, that is 11lbs + more, do you want to add on a sex for age allowance also? I think she did just fine.

He was probably trying to avoid an argument with the gleeful Zenyatta backers.

I don't want to rain on the Zenyatta fan parade because I know she's a terrific horse who has done some very nice things. But, the hyperbole going around about yesterday's win is just idiotic. It was not a particularly strong race and ultimately presented one of the best setups she's ever had (with the BC Classic right up there as well). It should make anyone who thinks she is a legitimate contender to beat males in a race like the BC Classic understand that she's not there yet. At all.

I dare you to say that on Steve's show, I wonder how your credibilty will hold up after that?

There's no point in me discussing anything about this with you. You'll grasp at straws, like weight, when all else fails. However, don't insult other people's handicapping methods, especially when they're dealing with fundamentals of handicapping like final times. Unless you feel obligated to thump your chest some more about the 2 winners you posted last year.

Don't dare me to do anything. I have no reputation and a fan base that consists of RockHardTen1985 and sometimes GBBob if I'm nice to him.

Ditto Nick. When it comes to Zenyatta your bias really shows. That's fine, I as a fan of racing enjoyed yesterday's race immensely, it's too bad others can't.

AS LONG AS YOU KEEP IT IN PERSPECTIVE..***************** NEXT TO IT.....

Danzig 06-14-2010 08:51 AM

I really enjoyed yesterdays race. It was exciting for sure. I think everyone probably thought it was a good one. I haven't seen a remark by anyone that suggested it wasn't a good one. Just because one doesn't think zenyatta is man o war citation and secretariat rolled into one doesn't mean they dislike the horse or think she's no good.

Forget about this RA … if they want a piece of Z let them come to Cali.

And forget about the subjective HotY award … it has already been cheapened too much over the years with selections like FT and RA.

The real goal now is taking down back-to-back Classics.

First 6-year-old to win the great American race … and the first to do it on different surfaces

That's some SERIOUS stuff right there, kids.

Needless to say, though, it won't be easy … the odds are clearly against her.

But Shirreffs has to keep his eye on the ball now … and do the best that he can to get her to the Downs in the best possible condition...

If I gave you 20-1 odds the last half furlong on that goat would you take it? If not, shut the f.uck up.

Do you sign your name in case you forget it?

P.S. You're a dullard, not a teacher.

Danzig was probably all over Bernardini in that '06 Classic, CSC.

Smooth Operator 06-14-2010 09:53 AM

Well, now that RA FINALLY has her G2 … time to move on up those ranks

Although somehow I don't think we'll see her in that G1 Whitney :D

I once had an as rabid Zenyatta fan as Smoothie Poo here tell me that Zen "loves to fly, absolutly, loves it!"

I wonder if the connections scheduled her a nice airplane ride as a prize for the win yesterday.

Have to love these crazy Zen fans. If anything, they sure do provide some laughs. :o
