Excellente!!!

Steve: Thanks for the recommendation and all of today's arrangements.

Valuable experience for our girl today.

Great DT turnout today. Will post pictures in the next few days, assuming I have some decent shots. :zz:

Karen & I had a great time today :) Great to see everybody & nice to be at Belmont when it's not freezing (like B.C. Cups '90,'95,'01 & '05) My only concern was getting there & back without getting lost and it was a piece of cake :o traffic not bad at all. Thanks for everything Steve (including the directions back) She'll live to fight another day & got A LOT of experience from the race.

Got a chance (allmost forgot) to catch the race on TVG... she looked nice and calm and had great gate manners. Was hoping for a top three finish for all the partners there. There is ALLWAYS another day to get that picture!!
Good Luck all involved.

Big thanks to Steve for clubhouse / paddock accomodations! Made for a very nice day.

Great to see Aldeb in person. Hope she got something positive from the experience.

Steve, thank you again for everything. It was a great day and the opportunity to go into the Belmont paddock is priceless. Got to watch the race again at home and she clearly had such a tough trip with having to check twice that she never had a chance yesterday, but she still looks to be able to run with these.

Incidently, what is happening with an NY Bred? Dee Tee needs to have a horse(s) based in New York, particularly with the insane money the statebreds are running for.

steve, thanks for the hospitality! Great to see everyone again and meet others. another excellent day and learning experience for Dee Tee.

Nice Day at Belmont

Steve and all Dee Teers,
Nancy and I had a wonderful first visit to Belmont(huge). Thanks to Steve for getting us box seat tickets and the paddock priviledges. Nice to meet so many other partners and enjoy their company. Looking forward to future encounters at different tracks. It was great to see Aldeb and looks like she has only an upside in the future. I would agree that she did not have a great trip but learned some valuable experience. She did not look that tired for having just run in the humid weather.

Thanks Steve

Was great to meet everyone again.

Was hot to say the least. it was great to see Aldeb for the first time. She was certainly green. Got a little excited when she made a slight run in the turn, but she met up with more trouble.

Anyway, when I got off the road, I'll try to post my pics or clips.

Chuck, compared to the others in that field she looked a little on the smallish side. Was I seeing things?

Great group of about 30 came out on a summery day at Belmont, and everyone had a fun afternoon. Thanks to all that were watching and rooting.

Photos tomorrow and more.

I thought it was just me, but I told Mrs. Bigs that Corny looked huge on her when they showed her on the backstretch pre-race. I know he's not big, so she must be smallish.

I wouldnt call her small but she doesnt carry a lot of weight on her frame. She eats like a hog but just doesnt gain much weight though the thyroid issues may have something to do with that.

Aldeb is leggy but fine bodied. you guys should have seen the Monsters in the 2nd race!
#3-eye of taurus (aldebaran) was good size BUT #5-royal ballade (darley) was a Monster! and the #6-false impression was close in size.

in the 5th race (ours) the winner #2B-gemswick park was big and close in size to the #5 & #6 in the second race. #9-amber's edge was as tall as Aldeb but was thicker bodied.

pointman 09-16-2008 08:11 PM

The 13 in our race was a big girl too.

FYI... Gemswich Park received a 91 Beyer Speed Figure in the race.. y comparison, Grande Ballade in the 2nd got a 65.
