Well said and I agree, but some of our elected representatives could care less what we think unless thier looking for our vote. I'm sure most of them will distanced themselves from him as soon as more details come out. It's the tip of the iceberg and won't be pretty when it's all said and done.

Be wary of anyone that strikes out in Saratoga.

I'm sure he's surrounded himself with the best "clowns" (I mean lawyers) his money can buy. The best thing he could do is resign by morning and not say a word ever again. The longer this goes on, the more trust of the people will disappear for any politician. This state has got a lot of problems, this crap doesn't help.

And that makes you smarter or dumber?

pgiaco 03-10-2008 09:35 PM

According to the complaint, Spitzer mentions that his payment will be just like the other times, so there goes the "I only did it once defense". This sh-t is priceless.

He has no business in government.

He cant make up his mind.

Do I break up prostitution rings
or do I patronize them?
It is a very tough question.
Its a moral quandry.

Good lord...

According to this NY Times article, Spitzer used the alias "George Fox" for his rendezvous' with hookers. It turns out that Mr. Fox was a donor and a friend to Mr. Spitzer. Poor George Fox deserves an apology as his good name is being dragged through the mud thanks to his friend.

ron mexico was already taken...

Danzig 03-10-2008 11:47 PM

i just saw that spitzer is expected to resign. what a jackass.

horseofcourse 03-11-2008 02:08 AM

And Spitzer is important because?? So he is what...the 73,913th politician lacking in a unified moral stance?? This is as big a non-story as Larry Craig's "wide" stance. AS long as they're not involved with minors I could care less who they are "not having sex with!" (or whatever clinton spewed about that!)...who they are having sex with...who they are seeking to have sex with...who they are paying to have sex with. They're politicians...the most corrupt people walking the planet for the most part. It is all quite humorous...you had the Hart's, Clinton's and all the Kennedy's...then recently all the repub stuff with Foley, Craig, Vitter, the guy in Illinois who was married to the Star Trek babe...he was so important I have no clue what his name is...gingrich...the youthful indiscretions of that Hyde guy when he was in his mid 40s!! Now another big democrat in NY down the tubes.

All I know is the one thing about both big time repubs and dems you can count on is these guys are getting massive amounts of non-marriage tail non-stop be it male or female...endlessly.

Today is the first time in my life I ever heard of the guy. Another brain dead politician...wow. Big surprise it has happened once again. I guess if I lived in New York I'd probably care more about it.

So I don't know much about the guy...would this news qualify as funny or sad?? You simply cannot find a non-corrupt politician anywhere. It is a null set. And we get tossed into elections with both sides continually throwing up more curruptness endlessly. AS a nation, whether we like it or not...I think it is going overboard on the endless fascination of who people are having sex with...especially politicians.

Danzig 03-11-2008 06:26 AM

i don't think it's fascination that caught spitzer. i'd think it was more his dumb luck to frequent an illegal business that was being investigated...of course the salaciousness of the illegal business he was engaged in will send this thing off and running.

i wonder if he'll resign today. i think he will. and then he'll need a defense lawyer, as well as a divorce attorney. but maybe he can get the wife to hang around long enough to get the criminal stuff out of the way, for some reason the wife by the side is felt to be a necessity when facing criminal charges.

Well said also... I have the same feeling in general about most politicans, but this guy has been the biggest hypocrite of all and to get where he is, f*cked with the sport I loved.....thoroughbred racing in N.Y. state. He should be exposed as the fool he is to all the nation.
