DaHoss has, and I have. It may be wise for you to do the same.

We would all benefit from ceasing on this one.

I was done with this thread this afternoon, until posting in response to a comment about beer -- which I find irresistible.

If only I had known that racing opinions would make me one of the worst Christians ever, I would have still been done.

And as such, unless you've got more drivel for me to attempt to digest, I am still done.

I wanted to talk about Perfect Drift, because I have always like the horse a lot, but this thread has convinced me to never post about him again.

Don't apologize. Not your fault. Please don't feel bad for talking about racing news.

I still think an ice cold beer would have helped things on this thread... opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one. I love having horses like Perfect Drift in the game, but I think a few people took some posts made by others a bit too seriously... definitely not your fault.

Wrong again.

No one discounted your opinions, what was discounted was the way in which you call names, and disect my posts to suit your own need to make a point, albeit one that is, most often attacking me.

So yes, I try and speak with you via message, and tell you exactly what I believe of your vehemence and the fact that it is--and you are--bogus in touting what you percieve as walking the path of a Christian.

And as I told you its a long, long road.

I've not used the ignore key here, its time that we both do I think.

Read: blah blah blah, lots of nonsense blather under the guise of rationale.

"the way you call names..." -- oh, like "one of the worst I've ever witnessed?" when speaking of my faith. Touché

Aka, the usual.

Oh the time has come
And you know that you're the only one
To say O.K.
But you're motoring

Give me a stone and I will cast it.

Grits is banned? Another troll bites the dust. The tragedy of it all.

What the heck did Grits do to get banned? What did I miss last night?

Bigsmc 04-17-2007 08:25 AM

Holy crap!

I have been avoiding this thread because I didn't care to read about a horse that ran exactly how everyone expected, but it wouldn't go away.

So, I had a few (actually it took more than a few) minutes to read it this morning and clicked on it. What a freaking train wreck.

This was better than TV. Thanks for the entertainment.

Of course if you're talking trainwrecks, you likely meant to say "better than TV (except American Idol, Tuesdays at 8 PM EST/7PM CST)" :D

All you need to do on a horse racing message board is speak truthfully about Perfect Drift, an admirable horse who has been on the decline for some time now, and every disillusioned fan of the horse jumps down your throat. I heard it all leading up to the BC Cup.....but of course no apologies AFTER the BC....when I dared suggest he had little to no chance to hit the board. It's basically a cult of lunacy and the sane are apparently not allowed to interject any rational thought.

On the internet, whatever accountability exists, only exists for the sound of mind.

He is probably the most competitive older horse out there right now. And when I say older I mean older than four or five years old. And when I say competitive I mean the level he is at. I am not fooling myself to think he is better than Invasor, but I would root for him to beat him. Just saying I love the horse. Not saying his is the best horse to ever set foot on a racetrack.

Drifty is my fave horse who is racing. No he doesn't always win, but 9 out of 10 times he does show up and get in the money. And I did say I was wrong after the Breeder's Cup. I may have been the only one, but I did admit it. :)

He was in the money SIX out of his last ten races.
