And just how many winners has Sheikh Hamburger won? I wish Jara would've told him to go f-k himself.

Seeing Round Table's PP's in another thread reminded me of his Derby...could you imagine if Jara pulled a Shoe in the race. (and this is no knock on Shoemaker because he was one of the best)

Owners need to let trainers train, and riders ride. It doesn't mean you can't be critical, but to do so publicly is uncalled for, especially after winning the richest race in the world.

Okaaaaay well someone told me to have a look at this thread but i could only stand to read through the second page. I don't care for racist comments.
How about an interlude? :p http://www.sheikhmohammed.com/ ~ official Godolphin cheerleader :D edit: For the record, was trying to post a link to the poetry (horsie poem!) but it didn't work. |
So every time Jonny V or jerry Bailey looked back it is a mistake? No wonder this clown has never won the derby. He should stick to being an owner or get on the horse and do it himself.

You're a little hard on the hired help, don't you think? |
What is wrong with a jockey taking a peek to see if any competition is coming up on him? Isn't that his job? If no one is coming he can wrap up and save the engine for next time. That is smart race riding in my book and exactly what I would want from a rider should I ever be lucky enough to have a horse in that position.
What if he didn't take a peek back and then got nailed on the wire by a big closer? How big of a loser would we all be calling him? They don't pay you a bigger purse for winning the race by a bigger margin, do they??? Like Al Davis says "Just win, baby." :D |
this has to be an April fools..
seems harsh words when's its written down.. the sheiks frequently give riders instructions regarding race riding.. I remember Sheikh Mo giving frankie precise instructions of how to ride Fantastic Light when Galileo and Fantastic Light were facing up again at Leopardstown. Frankie did it and they just about won. they usually know what they're on about..They spend alot of time in or aorund horses and Sheikh Mo, at least is a capable rider himself, not too sure on Hamdan.. finally, it is quite ironic that Hamdan critices Jara, who I think is a fantastic jockey, when to my knowledge, he hasn't criticised his English stable jockey Richard Hills who is renowed to be one of the worst jocks, who has a terrible record on short priced favourites.. |
