I only thank my lord and Savior Jesus Christ in games Cleveland plays, if they're not one of the teams I'm not even sure if the game is occurring. For example. "First of all I would like to thank my lord and Savior Jesus Christ that the Cavaliers will be playing the Raptors in a foreign land tonight." I am not so thankful for a Bengal/Texan playoff football game of course so I may not be thanking personally for that one.

horseofcourse 01-04-2012 09:19 AM

It's all ok. I get a kick out of the Tebow stuff and the angst it all causes.

clyde 01-04-2012 09:24 AM

It is kind of goofy thing, all of it.

The best ones are the guys who score TD's and must kneel in prayer and ignore their teammates desire to celebrate that which they helped the TD maker make ...and then ignore them again as the TD maker rushes to the stands to celebrate with his fans; thereby ensuring fan love so he can use that against management in demanding a new contract.

Showing you love God and allowing fans to touchy-feel you is a great scam.

I'm not sure if there's that much thought put into it! Seriously I was just reading this article where Steelers safety RYan Clark isn't playing Sunday. He is a sickle cell carrier and high altitude, low oxygen is dangerous...last time he played in Denver 4 years ago he lost his spleen, gallbladder. So he now never plays there. First time I had ever read about that. More of God answering TB I guess??

clyde 01-04-2012 09:37 AM

Wow..didn't know.

That's a bad deal right there.

Anyways..you're saying it's the Stihlers at Denver?

I don't know anything about the play offs.

horseofcourse 01-04-2012 08:20 PM

well, even in the depths of NBA competition, 29.6 percent ain't gonna win you many games!! The foreign team owns us. Thompson could not make one basket in his home land.

clyde 01-04-2012 10:36 PM

That's overall team fg shooting for us?

That is like really so bad.

maybe canada sets their baskets at 9' 11 and 1/2 inches due to a metric system snafu. Now back to the home land and the fine city of Minneapolis Friday. rumor has it the Cavs won't be featured much on TNT Thursday games. Darn.

clyde 01-05-2012 12:21 PM

What ?...no catch the fever!!!!....?

horseofcourse 01-05-2012 01:18 PM

back to important matters at hand...found you the deal of a lifetime...at a reduced price!! (FIVE of them left....or less :)

horseofcourse 01-05-2012 01:30 PM

While you ponder that deal of a lifetime, I'm stuck with this one...

still FIVE or less?? I don't get that.

clyde 01-05-2012 04:03 PM

It's an outrage,is what it is.

By the way, that $14,000 can't be right.

horseofcourse 01-06-2012 02:06 PM

There's no Browns game to predict a losing score for this week. I feel strangely empty. Well, I still think they can lose 10-6 playing no one at all this week.

clyde 01-06-2012 04:53 PM

I already miss them.

It was always fun predicting the future having seen it.

Hey, root for my team...we need help, all banged up...My sis is a Brownie fan...but what does she know...:D

clyde 01-06-2012 07:59 PM

Only those fans would play air helicopter.

Sorry, can't help ya.

horseofcourse 01-06-2012 09:26 PM

HOly crappin heck there's a lot of bad teams in the NBA. We seem to play one every night. 98-87 win over Minnesota, back above .500. We now cross the Rockies. Finally play an actual good team in Portland, although I guess in today's NBA Indiana qualifies as one too and we darn near beat them. IN my backyard in Salt Lake Tuesday, I'd go if it was weekend but have work and school and crap like that takin away from Cav time. It is the only game I'll be able to watch on TV here so I'm getting fired up!!

clyde 01-06-2012 10:58 PM

A.T.!!!!

yay!!!!

horseofcourse 01-07-2012 07:03 AM

those dang trickster Canadians...so this explains our loss up there...

Playing in Toronto presents a number of challenges to NBA teams. Everyone in the city is nicer, color is spelled differently, and basketball is roughly 25 times less popular than hockey. The biggest change, of course, is that Canada is a totally different country, so everyone has to carry their passports on trips. Otherwise, there's no way to get to Toronto, unless there's a particularly corrupt customs agent at the airport.

Cleveland Cavaliers big man Samardo Samuels fell victim to that last issue after losing his passport in early December. Without a new one, he was unable to play in Wednesday night's game against the Raptors.

A passport issue is gonna keep us out of the playoffs!! Mr Rodgers might be a Canadian interloper.

clyde 01-07-2012 11:40 AM

Oh my God.

thud

horseofcourse 01-09-2012 05:07 AM

Crossing the Rockies has been a mighty failure so far. Finally play a good team...20 point loss. Good thing they keep playing I guess. Jesus was a big football watcher on Sunday. He knew!! :D (we hit a century...Jesus is a fan of cleveland sporty thread too!)

clyde 01-09-2012 05:12 PM

Dough!!

Don't let Hitchens hear you say that.

He's a big fan,too....it could cause a problem.

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 12:22 AM

I heard there was a national championship game between two of God's conference titans. I am proud to say I was not even tempted to watch it. I'm gaining discipline as I age!! From what I heard there was 1 total touchdown between the two titans in their two games this year so evidently it was like watching the Browns play the Browns. That is certainly must miss TV. I bet Butt Cheeseburger and Herb Street were ecstatic.

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 12:28 AM

Calzone is becoming a bandwagon Browns fan pre-emptively. Is that legal (he's started two separate cleveland sporty threads outside of this one)?? Doesn't that make him a suspected terrorist subject to indefinite detention or murder on any president's whim or something of that sort? I'm scared for him.

It's "the fever."

Having given it all some thought....I believe something mystical is about to happen with this team. All of a sudden, each player will not only be able to identify a football among a setting of hockey pucks, but will suddenly play as though they know what to do.

Everyone is catching it.

It will be hard to isolate the real AT...the Cavaliers or the Browns.

It's the fear of Holmgrem.

I qwas under the assumption the real AT added Derek Lowe and Dave LaRoche's useless son this offseason. So it is getting very difficult to isolate.

clyde 01-10-2012 03:35 PM

Oh yes..I forgot;there is that real possibility,oh my God --getting dizzy,we may have to choose between 3 AT candidates...in the same city.

I don't know that I can take this kind of excitement.

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 03:36 PM

Well, the Buckeyes have Urban Meyer so there's that. My Nittany Lions have New Englands offensive coordinator...that worked out so well for Notre Dame a while back then the Broncos so Penn State will break the trend :). But Urban will be back playing in these BCS games for the Bucks very fast.

Romeo, Romeo wherefore art though Romeo?? NFL head coach, that's what!! It's a resurgence for Belichick offspring once again.

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 03:39 PM

Wahed up Derek Lowe and a La Roche third baseman...how many wins are those moves worth?? 15 or 16. You know Obaldo's figured it out, the move of Obaldo figuring it out is worth 20 wins.

clyde 01-10-2012 03:41 PM

The hands of the clock thing.

Don't forget..I am no longer an Ohio State fan.

They belie what I thought they once again could be.

They traded some degree of what they want from their fans for gold.Frankly, they overpaid at that.

Phooey on them.

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 03:41 PM

Then of course there is Exhausto figuring it out again for the 3rd or 4th time....that's a 10 game increase right there as well.

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 03:43 PM

So by my math the combo of Obaldo and Exhausto figuring the things out takes them from an 80 win team to a 110 win team.

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 03:44 PM

Oh yeah, that Brantley at first base thing, hard to calculate the math on that one too.

clyde 01-10-2012 03:44 PM

Not to worry, our newest prize schizo will counter any Exhausto positive findings...or vise versa.

They were made to marry, like magnets.

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 03:45 PM

I love me some Americas Team math.

They want Lou Gehrig.

Worth a try...not much they haven't tried.

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 03:48 PM

Kipnis...we got Kipnis. He won't get hurt this year. Sizeless, well, he'll get hurt!!

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 03:50 PM

But every time I think of Kipnis that brings up Dopey Phelps...:D

horseofcourse 01-10-2012 03:50 PM

I'm getting a headache.
