Hilarious...

Does she still have wolf teeth? If so, don't they normally take those out as a yearling? Just curious.

There is not anything wrong with her teeth to my knowledge. I just like for the dentist to get a good look before we start training her in case there is an issue that has not been addressed.
Wolf teeth can be taken out as yearlings but we have had horses come to the race track that still had them.

Just awesome people! way to go.

DT Owners: copied this post as it says everything i would have said! Great news for you. Much,Much fun and success to you all! Timm

I'm a Papa!!!

Just logged in after several days on the road and all I can say is this is second and earily similar to when my son was born. I always wanted a daughter, especially one that could go to work immediately and give so much fun so fast.

I'm proud to be part of the team and more importantly I cannot thank all of you that made this happen.

THANKS,

Spyder from SC

TheSpyder 02-14-2007 08:58 PM

I meant to say thank all of you enough!!!!!

Ditto for me. I just got around to this thread and was chewing my nails while reading the first page... "Oh, I hope they get her.. I hope they get her.." More exciting than most of television today.

Phew, I was worried for a minute we'd just bought a horse for $24,000 and were offering her up for $15,000 in a race with $10,000 in purse money. Even if she won I couldn't figure out how those numbers worked out.

team990sports 02-15-2007 10:20 AM

Best of luck to all involved...signed on here too late to get invested
but it sure sounds exciting to be involved with a partnership like this one.
Adding SWLY to virtual stable so I can follow and perhaps "invest"
with a small wager or two.
Again.. BEST OF LUCK !

Kasept 02-15-2007 10:48 AM

Rev911 & Others...

To all recent Derby Trail sign-ons...

There's still time to join in the Partnership on Sumwonlovesyou... She's not 'sold out' by any means and there's no reason to exclude anyone as she won't race for at least a month...

Anyone that still wants to get involved should Email me at sbyk@nycap.rr.com, and I will send you a Prospectus/Agreement...

Emailing went out to Partners this morning by the way... Anyone who has joined the partnership that DIDN'T receive this mailing should also let me know... Think I got everyone (41 partners), but may have missed 1 or 2!

Kasept 02-16-2007 05:59 PM

Yes.. Thanks to Beth Coney ("Riot".. or "Riot, DVM" rather) for going over today! Here she is with T.C., Chuck's guy at Turfway...

randallscott35 02-16-2007 06:06 PM

Nice looking Steve. Good luck with her.

Ruffian2 02-16-2007 06:22 PM

Good luck with her, guys! It sounds like a lot of fun!

dellinger63 02-17-2007 08:31 AM

The price of a daily racing form $5.00

A round of beers for 8, $40.00

Going in with 40 friends, most of whom you've never met and buying a racehorse PRICELESS

Think if we can hype her enough we can get claimed first out for 50K??? lol

Kasept 02-17-2007 09:14 AM

SUMWON'S PHOTOS: If you missed..

Thanks to Beth Coney, DVM ("Riot") for running to Turfway yesterday to snap some shots of Sumwonlovesyou...

Sightseek 02-17-2007 10:05 AM

She's got a very kind eye and nice shoulder in my opinion. In one of the other photos you can see a hint of dapples coming out...I can't wait until Chuck and his staff has had a little more time with her. :)

Without seeing the dam, she looks to have taken after the sire:

i know chuck said she is supposed to go to fairgrounds in a few weeks. so i will go see her, it's about five hours from here. but i'm hoping to go see her run, but if they end up without finding a race for her, i'm going regardless.

dellinger63 02-17-2007 11:03 AM

a little bird told me she will be in nawlins by fat tuesday.

horseofcourse 02-17-2007 11:19 AM

Anyone know her size offhand?? I'm guessing only Chuck and Steve would have this info offhand!!

I get all giddy thinking about it too! I nearly squeled when I got home to read my email and saw her photos. It's so great to have so many other people to share in your happiness over the same horse. I'm going to be one anxious mama come post time for her first race.

I didn't stand right up to her and measure, she's between 15 and 16, I was guessing closer to 16, TC was thinking closer to 15.

I don't think the pictures do her full justice, she seems nicely balanced (front compared to rear), and she stands over a bit more ground than in the picture of her in the stall (she's a bit backed up to the wall there).
