I think she was housed in Dutrow's barn for that race.

Absolutely. The 90's version of the movie with the famous line, "I love you Roger," starring Sean Cassidy (I think.)

Did Dutrow Sr. have the same magic wand as his son?

No, he was not nearly the training wizard his son has become.

new to derby trail but not to horseracing. Bold and determined should be in this group of fastest filies

Gander 01-02-2007 08:23 PM

Lottsa Talc belongs on this list as well.

A little surprised RIBOLETTA didnt get a mention in this thread...she ran some awfully fast races in the fall of 2000 at Belmont.

Super talented horse! Had she not run so lousy in the Breeders Cup she might have gone down among the better fillies/mares to have ever run. 7 straight wins (all G1 or G2) on dirt going into the BC with Beyer Figs of 115-115-107-111-110 in the 5 races going into the BC.

She may have been the shortest priced horse ever to lose a Breeders Cup race ever. I know she was the lowest of any horse on that card for sure, and flopped like a poisoned mackrel.

Why is 'Susans Girl' never mentioned? Earned over 1 miil+ in the early '70s. Also faced boys, I think.

Easy Goer .30-1 in 1988 was shorter...

because youve got to be better than original spin to get mentioned -- which means you've got to be one of history's top ten fillies to make the list

Susan's Girl would have drowned more than a few horses mentioned on this list.
