Winning the Cotillion and Distaff would make her generational?

I've heard it all now.

Dahoss 05-22-2022 02:20 PM

Yeah that's ridiculous.

I'm not sure she's a good as Swiss Skydiver who actually won the Preakness, was 2nd in the Bluegrass, won the Alabama, etc. and no one thought she was generational.

It's okay to just admit you wildly overestimated her talent because she ran at the track you announce at.

SHE WON THE KENTUCKY OAKS

That's a wild overestimation?

There were quite a few 3yo fillies who won the 1st allowance condition.

There was only one I speculated might be a superstar.

There was only one that won the Oaks.

The last time I did that was when Zenyatta won the 1st allowance condition.

Seems like a decent track record to me.

Ending sentences with prepositions now ? The nuns would be horrified.

Yes calling her a generational talent is a wild overestimation.

You posted for days before the Oaks...with no pre race opinion on the supposed generational talent. After the race here you were with your look at me nonsense.

Nothing before the Preakness. Here we are again.

You can never be wrong, nor never admit you're wrong.

I said on my show with Nancy Holthus she could be a "superstar" after the allowance race.

Many people heard me say it.

Today I said if she were to win the Cotillion and Distaff which would produce an Eclipse award " G consideration" would still be in play.

I've admitted a hundred times over the years that I was wrong about many things.

You on the other hand have NEVER acknowledged the times I've been right because HATE always takes precedence.

Your last sentence speaks volumes Vic.

You want me to acknowledge you so bad. You want me to like you so bad.

It's hilarious.

You should quit now. Last time we did this you deleted almost all of your posts, remember?

I don't care if you acknowledge me.

Never have. Never will.

What I want is to contribute to the Forum and NEVER EVER hear from you again.

That's the truth.

I care.

And legions of people who avoid this site like the plague for one reason.

They don't want to deal with all the HATE you spew at EVERYONE.

Isn't worth it to real fans that just want to enjoy our sport.

If you were to go away. There would be an immediate influx of at least a hundred posters who were afraid of being treated so horribly by you.

I have times when I'm away for months. You simply find others to berate and belittle.

NOBODY WANTS TO DEAL WITH YOU.

Horseracing is fun. You take that aspect away in this forum.

Hope you're happy.

That post has NOTHING to do with me.

And SUPER NOTHING to do with horseracing.

There's ZERO defense for this kind of personal vitriol on a horse racing site.

You should be ashamed.

Just terrible. Sad.

I have to quote this for when you delete it.

In case you haven't noticed Vic, for the most part people here are laughing at you. People are mocking you. You have to see that, right?

You've been making posts like this towards me for YEARS. Get the hint. No one cares what you think.

Does Oaklawn know about your online behavior? If they did, do you think they'd be proud?

No one cares. You posted the same stuff on Twitter. No one cares there either.

Not my problem you couldn’t handle alcohol. Another thing you failed at.

Alabama Stakes 05-22-2022 05:52 PM

You’re wrong. Plenty of people care . it’s a big accomplishment. Maybe you should try an AA meeting and you wouldn’t be so rotten . (Azzholes Anonymous).
I can see it now. Hi I’m duh hoss and I’m an azzhole.

You don’t drink but smoke yourself stupid all day everyday.

What an accomplishment. You were too weak to handle alcohol so you substituted it with weed.

Very heroic. You should write a (picture) book.

Just like I was in ZENYATTA'S 2nd race.

Jerry Brown compared her to EIGHT BELLES.

It was me who said generational talent.

Which I think is still in play.

Fillies don't need to beat colts to be considered generational.

Ruffian, Zenyatta, Personal Ensign, Monomoy Girl et al.

Is she as good as those? Probably not.

But is it that big of stretch to win the Cotillion and BC Distaff?

That would put her in line for an Eclipse and G consideration.

The jury is still out.

And Freddy. Who cares what you laugh at?

Monomy Girl? Have a Heart! I think PE won the Whitney?

Congrats on not drinking for a long time. I once did 7 days, ok well maybe it was 5 but who is counting

King Glorious 05-23-2022 12:13 AM

Secret Oath is good. I thought maybe she could be special. If she was, we would know it by now. We wouldn’t need to wait to see if she wins the Cotillion and/or Distaff. The best she can be is good. She isn’t generational. Well, I guess technically she is. The best of her generation.

I don't think she is at this point. But as I said I think it's still in play. If she could win the Cotillion and the B C Distaff that would assure her an Eclipse.

Then if she were to run at 4 being a superstar would still be possible until it wasn't.

I guess it depends on your definition of generational. I think the question was asked at some point earlier in this thread and I'd rather put hot pokers in my eyes than go back and look but...to me a "generational talent" is an athlete, horse whatever, that is so good, we only see talent like that a few times in years if not decades.

Winning the Kentucky Oaks, with a low speed figure doesn't really equate to that. She's a really nice filly, easy to root for and runs her race. But she's yet to run fast and has not been competitive both times she has faced males.

In recent history maybe two fillies would be considered "generational" to me. Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta. Both of them were much better than Secret Oath. Are we even sure that Secret Oath is "better" than Echo Zulu? Look at where the horses close to the pace in the Oaks finished.

I think Beholder deserves some very strong consideration as well.

Arguably, a generational talent.

That's a great question. I think Echo Zulu is probably better up to one mile and Secret Oath better 9F and up. If someone offered me a bet, someone that would pay, I would take Echo Zulu to win the BC F&M Sprint over Secret Oath winning the BC Distaff.
