Excuse me but post #161 is rude and totally uncalled for. I'm gonna have to ask to see my license and registration.

Isn't the whole state of NY politically appointed?

Paying for a service does not necessarilly mean the provider is respected...:)

It's hard to talk smack about another state being corrupt when my governor appointed Tubby Smith's wife to the Horse Racing Authority Board.

My drivers license says NY and does not expire until 2009 so I have the right.
Plus I'd take Mrs. Tubby over Bernadette Castro any day.

p.s.- they threw Mrs. T off the comission today. Maybe she can latch on at Canterbury

OJ's Legal team won his case but did not do much for me as far as enhancing respect for Lawyers :) :) ...that being said I am not saying that all Lawyers are bad or that none are deserving of respect...but there are more than a few lawyer jokes around...

what do you have if you have a dozen lawyers buried up to their necks in sand....

not enough sand

Back to the subject at hand...if the Stewards are political appointees then I suspect qualifications are not necessarilly the top consideration for the appointments.:o

Payson Dave 03-29-2007 05:01 PM

btw... you can still be my trainer even if we don't agree on lawyers.:D

Only one in NY is appointed by the state. But industry politics can come up with poor choices too.
