Way to go, girl!

Congrats, Otis!

Thanks, OD!

That was a very nice filly that she beat in 4yo ON bred Ready for Romance (More Than Ready) who was 3 for 4 coming in. That was her first race in 448 days and for new barn (Rudy Rod). In the meantime sold for $240k at Keeneland Jan 2016 sale. Ran big.

Cheers,

O

Good luck to the connection today at Pimilco. Safe trips for rider and horse.

Thanks, casp! Hoping Feargy can keep that winning chemistry with her from end of last year. Great to see her participate on such a fantastic card!

I also own a small piece of Spanish Romance. She was a dynamite 2yo (won at Chantilly, ran in G2 Albany at Royal Ascot) but had minor bumps and bruises last year. Very interested to see if she can mount a 4yo campaign for Arnaud.

Cheers,

O

Catching Fireflies won her final race for the Hosehead stable at Laurel. She was claimed for $25k by K Magee. She has been sizzling since October, winning three times, with a second and a third.

Here is the video. We asked Feargal Lynch to stay close to pace, despite her closing style, and he executed to perfection. Kudos to Arnaud Delacour for an outstanding training job with her at Fair Hill, where she really thrived.

Truly enjoyed owning CFF and I hope she wins a stake for new owners Super C stable. Go Flies!!!

Cheers,

Otis

She ran a great race. It must be tough to lose her, no?

Saw that.. She closed really nice even though she was attending the pace. Congrats

OD: Yes from a sentimental standpoint. She was my first purchase back in Feb 2015. But the way I look at it, we ran her for a tag in AOCs 5 times at Laurel since Oct and we got 3 wins, a second and a third. She earned some nice checks and her broodmare value is probably south of $50k as she is modestly bred (Value Plus out of Hennessy mare). That could change with a stakes win and I certainly will be rooting for that. She is as fast as ever right now.

JMS: Thanks! Feargal Lynch has amazing sympatico with CFF. But he had been winning with her as a closer. We all agreed that the race had a paucity of speed and asked him to get her into the race early. He executed to perfection.

Cheers,

O
