This horse once held the track record at Belmont... He won his first and only Grade I at the age of 7..

He was a machine that season and ran huge figure after huge figure ... his only defeat was when he was too worried about Alysheba and let Bet Twice get a dream rail run and then herd him out a bit through the stretch in the '88 Pimlico Special.

If Lost Code were running nowadays, he'd be celebrated as one of the greatest horses ever.

Probably my second favorite horse. I saw him win his first "big" race, the Alabama Derby, in person.

Yeah, I loved that horse too. I've always liked horses with that running style.

The Alabama Derby though? Never even heard of it!

I suppose I have heard of it since Lost Code won it, but I have no recollection of that race at all.

It was run at the short lived Birmingham track. It was even broadcast on ESPN. I remember hanging out after with Chris Lincoln. He was HUGE back then.

He spoke like he was oxygen deprived too.

He'd slur his speech at random points while talking.

Wild Again.

First six career starts for this awesome horse.

I'm giving it away with this hint, but in that first allowance race, the first two finishers would later on in their careers fill out the exacta again in the BCC.
