OK. My post was a gut reaction. I don't really know if it really had anything to do with it but I've read from O'Neil saying that IHA must have... "whacked himself". The horse was in an enviroment that the trainer didn't want him to be.
You seem like a gambling man. I'll bet you $100 that Belmont doesn't do the detention barn thing again for the Belmont Stakes. Are we on?

The trainers have complained from the very beginning about the detention barn. To stick 12 horses into tight confines. Who's not to say he got whacked by another horse or spooked by one. Hopefully it is not the case but I guess the press conference will reveal more.

Yeah it's not out of the realm of possibility. I know that WHAS had AP audio of Dale Romans b.itching about how crowded it was. 3 to 4 employees for one horse.

He does not have the stallion credentials I look for at all...but someone will still pay, I guess.

that was the part that caught my eye. why does this spell the end for his career??? he's not a highly bred horse. i haven't seen the clamor for him like i have in the past with other horses...so why would may of his 3 yo season be the end?

No doubt, I will be there, we will meet up.

Bowed tendon....that is normally the end whether they race again or not.

You can catch the video on ESPN. Jeannine Edwards says that Kenny McPeek believes the injury took place in his stall. He heard when IHA vioilently kicked a bucket in his stall. I guess the detention barn was to his liking:rolleyes:

No deal. Chances are, that if you continue to make asinine comments like your original one, you'll be darted before next years Belmont anyway.

For what it's worth, though I couldn't tell you if it was under remotely similar circumstances, my TB narrowly avoided a serious tendon injury doing something foolish that involved a waterer and a front leg.
