now, it would be helpful if riot would just explain that, rather than getting into her usual routine of accusing someone of lacking comprehension skills- but that would be too easy.

when bank robbers or drug dealers get chased by police and drop their money do they get credit for it? Illegals are called illegals because they are ILLEGAL. Anything that is conrtibuted using a false SS is done so in the commission of a crime. Just as a good bankrobber needs a gun and getaway car a good illegal needs papers and a way into the country.

do you just refuse to understand why pols pay lip service about the issue, while doing nothing about it? yes, it's a crime. one that not many are interested in doing anything about. it's all about the money. money made by cheap labor, money saved on products, money keeping the fed solvent, and ss checks from bouncing. you're not seeing the forest for the trees. throwing out illegals would cause more harm than good to this country.

yes, it would. not just the keeping out part, but also the lost jobs, low wages that would have to go higher to get others to do their line of work. but i guess you and i are just easy on crime! :D

To the GOPers who are die heart anti-abortion and voted for the new reps, they were represented as this had little to do with rape and almost everything to do with abortion. WIN

Now instead of a lame freeze, after a two year whirl wind spending spree and the subsequent raise of the budget to the stratosphere, the GOP is offering a $32 billion cut. I'll tell you what; like Obamacare let's not read the bill and sign it to find out what's cut inside it. :D

See you no longer are GOP so stop expecting them to represent you. Likewise I won't expect the Dems to come back and say we're going to do 10X what you propose and cut $320 Billion.

I'll give the GOP another pat on the back for this one.....Less than 2 months in and you guy's are doing a hell of a job. Thank You and keep up the good work.

BTW perfect opportunity for Obama to rally his supporters and fund this bill privately. You go and show us!!!!!!

I also give kudo's to the Republicans. Nice to see the Democrats wanting to spend over 50 million on a rail system. Some things don't change. Where the money come for that? I wont say where it will come from because everyone knows where I think it will come from.

LOL - surely you jest? You mean like Speaker Boehner changing the work hours for the Congress? They now work two weeks, then get one week off (check the schedule on .gov.) That's right, they now, thanks to the GOP, effective this Congress, only work two weeks out of three - and not even five days a week, either.

Yet we're paying for that. Nice, big fat salaries, $140K/year, plus super benefits. Thanks, Speaker Boeher - wouldn't want actual Congressional work to interfere with your golf game or your lobbying on the floor of Congress, passing out checks from oil companies.

The GOP was elected to help the economy and jobs, and so far have nothing but two failed bills, trying to achieve big government control over other people's lives, to show for it.

I'm surprised you support that type of big government interference and control, Dell - I thought you said you were small government?

And then there's Boehners huge mistake yesterday, and again today, of calling for votes the wrong way, and not having enough votes to renew the Patriot Act. Surprise! You guys don't have a clue what you are doing!

I imagine they will send a bunch of illegal aliens to your house, rough you up, and make poor you pay for it all by yourself.

That rail system will produce tangible jobs, especially for steelworkers. Kudo's to the Dems for keeping their eye on what's important. Meanwhile, the Republicans have canceled work one week out of three.

Shouldn't you rephrase it that the Democrats will send a bunch of illegals to my house to try and rough me up? Aren't the Democrats the one's wanting amnesty for the illegals? The last time I looked Obama was a Democrat. Once again you have tried to prove that you know it all.

This is a great Aerosmith song that fits you perfectly./

the less Congress actually works, the better for this country.

I believe different than you do Riot. I dont think the goverment should be the answer to 90% of the countries problems.

The fact he's got you so upset is indication enough for me that he is doing a heck of a job.

BTW I support big government/control interference as in the attempted block of Obamacare. I also trust that fight will continue. As will the fight to cut rather than spend. This shown most recently by the State of WI refusing Obama's high speed rail money that would have constructed a line from Milwaukee to Madison. The fiscally responsible, newly elected, GOP Governor had research showing there weren't enough potential passengers to make it economically feasible (maintainance costs would have been the State's) and in effect would have been a 'party train' between UMAD and UMilw, Marquette etc. He sent back the money to Washington and instead of re-depositing it in a crackhead like manner Obama sent it to IL. Guess that Rockford-Galena trip is more popular than I thought.

I don't believe the government is the answer to 90% of the countries problems.

Especially as the Republican Big Government Oversight Plan is trying to do this week in the House, attempting to backdoor circumvent our Constitutional rights by having the government literally monitor all pregnancies in the United States to determine the outcome.

It depends upon the problem. There are essential government services, and elective. That's the disagreement people have: which are which.

Watching our elected officials not work, while taking our money, isn't popular with most other people. It's certainly not popular with me.

And seeing Boehner change the Congressional work schedule to give them a week off out of every three weeks is appalling. What do you think of that, Dell?

There's a funny new website the Dems put up, tracking how many bills the majority Republicans have introduced in the House, that are intended to create jobs. www.whenarethejobs.com

Your fellow citizens elected officials to pass that law, and they did. It's now the law of the land, with provisions that have already kicked in and benefiting your fellow citizens. Currently the majority of American people support the law, or want it made even broader. You're free to have your opinion, even if it is a minority one. Express it at the ballot box.

Yes, we all know what your Governor did with your high-speed rail funds. And yes, Illinois was thrilled to get those funds to make even more jobs in Illinois. We'll see how that works out for Wisconsin in the future.

RIot have you forgotten that the Dems still unfortunately control the Senate. Has the thought gone into your mind that some of these bills are passing in Congress but when the Senate votes on the bill it doesn't pass because the Dems still control the Senate.

The republicans have cancelled the work mainly in republican states because once the rail to nowhere is built it is the individual state's responsibility for upkeep and operation. If high speed rail were a good financial risk you'd see private equity develop it. What happened to Warren Buffet?

BTW the steel workers who would be put to work would have last names like Hsu, Lee and Lu and if they were allowed to have pasports they'd be in chinese. Maybe you meant 'iron worker' as they will at least have to build the bridges. The actual track laying is done by guys just starting out with the railroads, guys that aspire to 'ticket please' type of jobs. The elite of the class get to drive. And that steel used for high speed rail must have some detailed specifications and that means even more :$::$::$: FOR CHINA. Now if somehow Dems could get other countries to build high speed rail or anything else using American engineers/workers they may be on to something. It's easy RIOT just come up with ideas that DON'T SPEND THE PEOPLES MONEY! Then again that would be far too unregulated and to close to private enterprise, ie capitalism for DEM comfort.
