Second time that's happened, by the way. Nolan's Cat and now this? Hell, I'm just gonna ask you the next time I can't remember a name.

Whatever happened to him anyway? Any idea?

He is standing down under at Swettenham Stud.

The record was 6 furlongs on turf, not 6 1/2 like I previously said.

I'm really enjoying this thread, though I'm so ignorant. It's very humbling.
I really don't have a clue about some of the trivia, but it helps me learn.
Here's one for you:
The year, 1977.
Two year olds face each other.
One is named Affirmed, one is Alydar.
This was a "fair and square" stakes. Not like Alydar's win via DQ in the Travers when they were three year olds.
Alydar won it, and got me "hooked on racing".

Name the race.

The answer to my question is that Jack Sullivan and David Junior are named for their owner's two sons.

You are definitely not a moron!
Thanks for the names on those two.
Just curious, (cause I can't find a good "joke of the day")...
Did he have a third son that was named for his next-door-neighbor?

BellamyRd. 09-06-2006 08:30 PM

What jockey won the Russian Oaks five times, the Russian Derby four times, the Czar's Prize on three occasions, and the Warsaw Derby twice, not to mention 2 wins in the KY derby...?

It was either a golf course or a bowling alley. Do you play golf?

Which road was the first in Florida to be funded by federal money? This road ran from east to west, crossing the St. John’s River, going from Pensacola to Tallahassee to St. Augustine.
