The whole Zenyatta thing has gotten distorted for a number of reasons. One, nitwits on the internet ( and this is a big one ). They have annoyed many rational people so much that the sane folk become insane. Three, her tepid campaign this year, on the heels of last year, has further frustrated many. But this shouldn't mean people should fail to recognize her enormous talent, and further diminish her.

Unfortunately, some of Zenayatta's supporters have this disorder that compels them to establish the case for Zenyatta's greatness ad nauseam.

What’s "puzzling" to me is how anyone can knock Z's 2010 campaign at this point.

They held up their end of the bargain and showed up for the big race at Oaklawn.

Now she has a chance to break a record that has stood for what, 60 years … so why not let her try to do it in a G1 at her home base?

By the way, as many of her critics seem to think, a win in the Vanity is not a foregone conclusion. This Trinians beast looked very good at Anita earlier in the year and will be a formidable opponent given the big weight break that she'll receive.

Z (and Smith) will have to bring their A game...
