Mig ..congrats on a wonderful career.

I do hope that as good a spokesperson that you are for this sport, that a major network or racing station contacts you .That you can keep on informing us with your many years of experience.I also hope that what ever you do, you have many ,many happy and as successful years.

Happy new beginnings

Very mixed feelings here... I can't imagine how hard this is for him but I'm glad in the sense that all of you are.

Jockeys get bashed here and on other forums all the time.

The Mig though? I don't recall seeing critcism. I'm sure it exists somewhere but it ain't here.

A gentleman, a decent type, one with heart, one who clearly loves the horses and hey... I'll always love him for Desert Code!

Happy retirement Mig... on to even better things.

When it gets tough and you really miss flying down the stretch? Maybe remember that collective sigh of relief from your hundreds of thousands of fans (and your family... I just didn't want to be presumpteous by saying that).

THANK YOU.

You are the face of racing... everything that's right about the sport.

Feel better.

Sorry to see one of the best have to retire. Thanks for what you've done for this great sport. Good luck with whatever you choose to do in the future.

It was a nice tribute on ATR Steve, I listened to most of the interview. I'm not sure if it was mentioned but perhaps in the future, as a fan I would have loved to hear some stories of favorite horses he once rode. Ie. Hidden Lake, Albert The Great(I believe he rode atleast once, or betting on him I seem to remember this)Crafty Friend for Kimmel, and he worked Talkin Man for Attfield once I recall.

I've always felt that Steve needed a co-host. Richie would be perfect.

Of course, it would help if Sirius could turn a profit. Without that it seems that a co-host would be an impossibility.

CSC,

Thx... Glad you enjoyed it. Will certainly have Mig look back at some of his best rides, and he has done some of that in the past. Wednesday wasn't the time for that.

Coach,

I've thought about that with Mig as well. He's going to get healthy first and foremost and then start considering options. As a sidebar, SiriusXM provides no compensation to me at all. ATR's revenue is derived solely from the advertising I can generate.

Howard needs to retire so they can spread around that money to people like you, somebody that actually brings content to their channels day after day. Yet they'll pay millions to others to do an hour a month

Thanks Steve, Mig is one of the kind, I only know him as a rider which is probably my lost but I can honestly say I have never been dissapointed with any ride he has given me as bettor throughout the years. I don't know how many riders I can say that for, it was a great listen. :tro:

Yet they pay Eminem millions and in turn he pays those afternoon dj's to talk instead of play music. No wonder why they are on the verge of bankruptcy.

They also pay Oprah, Martha, Jamie Foxx, Rosie, etc and their shows are complete garbage.
